Yes. Both Turtle Beach Rematch versions work with the original Nintendo Switch, but they connect differently: the wireless model pairs wirelessly, while the wired model must be plugged into the Switch dock. That dock requirement means the wired controller cannot be used with Switch Lite.
Which Rematch controller do you have?
Check the product name or packaging before following setup advice. Turtle Beach sells wired and wireless Rematch controllers, and compatibility details for one version do not automatically apply to the other.

How to use the wireless Rematch with the original Switch
The wireless model does not need the Switch dock to connect. Nintendo lists the controller as compatible with the original Switch, Switch Lite, and Switch OLED Model. For pairing steps, use the instructions included with your specific controller; the cited product listing confirms compatibility but does not provide a detailed pairing procedure.
How to use the wired Rematch with the original Switch
- Place the Nintendo Switch in its dock and connect the dock to the console as usual.
- Connect the Rematch Wired Controller’s integrated cable to a USB port on the dock.
- Use the controller while the Switch is docked. Turtle Beach’s compatibility statement limits this model to docked Switch and Switch OLED use. Turtle Beach support FAQ
Because Switch Lite has no dock, Turtle Beach says the wired Rematch cannot be used with that console. The cited support FAQ does not establish another supported connection method for the wired controller.

Features that differ between versions

- NFC: Turtle Beach says the wired model has no NFC. The cited Nintendo listing does not establish an NFC specification for the wireless model, so check that model’s packaging or product details if NFC matters.
- Headset connection: Turtle Beach says a 3.5 mm wired headset can connect to the wired Rematch controller. Whether in-game voice chat works depends on the game and its settings. Turtle Beach support FAQ
Which one should you choose?
- Choose the wireless version if you want to play without keeping the Switch docked, or need a controller option for Switch Lite.
- Choose the wired version if you play with the console docked and prefer a controller connected by cable; account for the cable connection to the dock.
- If motion controls matter, the official specifications distinguish the models: the wireless listing includes them, while Turtle Beach says the wired model does not.
Nintendo’s listing also says the wireless controller works with Switch 2, but its C Button is unavailable on that system. That detail does not change its listed compatibility with the original Switch. Nintendo product listing
