The right gaming keypad depends on how you want your left hand to move: choose the Razer Tartarus V2 Pro for a documented MMO-oriented layout and configurable profiles, the Azeron Cyborg II if you want adjustable finger towers, or the Azeron Keyzen for mechanical keys with an analog thumbstick. The Razer Tartarus Pro is a separate option if analog key presses and adjustable actuation are your priority. None is a universal best; check your game’s input support and whether the controls fit your hand and play style.

What a gaming keypad changes

A one-handed gaming keypad puts a compact bank of controls under your left hand while you generally aim with a mouse. Instead of reaching across a full keyboard, you can map movement, abilities, items, and other actions to nearby keys or a thumb control. The trade-off is that layouts, key reach, and thumb controls vary substantially, and a keypad takes time to configure and learn.

For MMO play, the useful comparison is not simply the number of keys. Consider which actions you need to reach quickly, how you prefer to move, whether you want analog input, how much adjustment the device offers, and how readily its software handles game-specific profiles.

Model Controls and feel Where it stands out What to check
Razer Tartarus V2 Pro Razer lists 31 programmable controls, a TMR thumbstick, three dedicated buttons, and an adjustable wrist rest. Razer provides an MMO example layout and supports configurable keymaps and profiles. Manufacturer specifications do not establish that the shape or wrist rest will suit every hand. Confirm the exact model and current feature listing.
Razer Tartarus Pro Razer lists 32 programmable keys, analog optical switches, two actions per key at partial and full press, an eight-way thumbpad, and eight quick-toggle profiles. Its distinguishing feature is analog key behavior with configurable actuation. This is a different product from the Tartarus V2 Pro. Analog input depends on game support; do not assume the two models have the same controls.
Azeron Cyborg II Azeron lists 30 mappable keys, a 360-degree Hall Effect thumbstick, and adjustable finger towers. Adjustability lets you position the finger towers to suit your hand and reach preferences. A review notes an adjustment and profile-setup learning curve. Personal fit cannot be inferred from the specification alone.
Azeron Keyzen Azeron lists 32 mappable mechanical keys and a 360-degree Hall Effect thumbstick. A mechanical-key feel paired with a thumbstick for movement. Switch options and the current configuration should be confirmed on Azeron’s listing; feel is personal.

Which keypad fits your priorities?

For MMO bindings and profiles: Razer Tartarus V2 Pro

Razer’s example MMO layout assigns actions such as healing, utility, weapon, profession, mount, and movement to keypad controls. That makes it a useful candidate if you want a purpose-built set of nearby bindings and expect to configure profiles for different games. The official feature list is available on Razer’s Tartarus V2 Pro page.

For analog key presses: Razer Tartarus Pro

The Tartarus Pro is the choice to examine if you want a key to register different actions at partial and full press. Razer says analog input can provide scaling levels rather than only an on/off signal, and describes analog input for controller-supported games. This capability is not a guarantee that a particular MMO or PC game will accept the input mode; check the game’s support and your intended configuration. See Razer’s Tartarus Pro page and FAQ.

For adjustable finger placement: Azeron Cyborg II

The Cyborg II’s adjustable finger towers distinguish it from a conventional fixed key cluster. This may appeal if reach and positioning are central to your choice, but it does not prove an ergonomic benefit for every player. The review context also suggests allowing time to adapt and build profiles rather than expecting a familiar layout immediately.

  • USB Pass-Through Port, Detachable Wrist Rest - Plug your mouse or headset directly into the keypad for a cleaner desk, and unclip the magnetic wrist rest whenever you want a smaller footprint.

  • Pro Software for Even Deeper Customization - Record your own macro sequences and design custom lighting effects, so the keypad adapts to your exact keybinds.

For mechanical keys with a thumbstick: Azeron Keyzen

The Keyzen combines mechanical keys with a 360-degree thumbstick. Consider it if you prefer a more familiar mechanical-key feel but want thumbstick movement available. Verify the current switch selection and configuration before buying.

Check game compatibility before relying on analog movement

A thumbstick does not provide the same kind of movement in every game. Azeron says its Cyborg II, Keyzen, and Cyro work with PC games that support keyboard input. In a game that supports simultaneous mouse and controller input, Azeron says its stick can provide true 360-degree analog movement; in other games it can emulate WASD or directional-key input. Razer likewise describes analog input on the Tartarus Pro for controller-supported games. These are manufacturer descriptions, so verify support for the specific game and input combination you plan to use.

AZERON Gaming Keypad, Programmable One Handed Gaming Keyboard, with Hall Effect Analog Thumbstick and 30 Programmable Keys, 3D Printed Customized Keypad, for Righties (Black, Cyborg ll)
  • The new Azeron Cyborg II Gaming Keypad offers advanced adjustability and ergonomics. Its adjustable parts ensure a perfect fit. Designed for right-handed gamers, it replaces the keyboard for left-hand use while the mouse stays on the right.
  • The new Hall Effect thumbstick eliminates stick drift and supports WASD or 360° analog movement (in compatible games). Customize dead zones, sensitivity, and cone angles, map eight directional zones, and enable analog smoothing. Can function as a mouse. Features easy calibration and a mid-click function.
  • Exclusive software provides advanced customization, including RGB lighting for game profiles, fine-tuned thumbstick settings – diagonal keybinds, and analog smoothing. The thumbstick can also function as a mouse.
  • The redesigned main board allows future Cyborg II software updates and modular enhancements.
  • 30 mappable inputs can be configured as keyboard inputs, controller/mouse inputs, or Macros. Each button is individually connected with no connection matrices

Before choosing, check whether the game permits simultaneous mouse and controller input, whether you are content with WASD-style emulation when it does not, and whether its control settings allow the bindings you need. A keypad’s advertised analog feature is not by itself evidence that every game will use it as analog movement.

Plan for configuration and learning time

Azeron Software supports remapping, macros, analog-thumbstick adjustment, and per-game profiles, including automatic profile switching; Azeron also says profiles can be stored on the keypad. Its software page describes the core tasks as: “With your Azeron connected, rebind keys, assign macros, adjust analog thumbstick, and create profiles for different games.” These are vendor-described capabilities; check the current software and device support because versions and features can change. Details are on Azeron’s software page.

  1. Start with essential actions. Map the abilities or movement controls you use most often before assigning every available key. Azeron recommends beginning with important keys and expanding the layout.
  2. Set up a profile for the game. Keep bindings organized by title, and confirm that profile switching behaves as expected before relying on it in play.
  3. Adjust the thumbstick and reach. Set stick behavior and finger positions to match the input mode and hand position you want; do not assume a default arrangement will feel natural.
  4. Add less-used actions gradually. Expand the layout after the essential controls feel familiar, so new bindings do not make the initial learning process harder.

A review of the Cyborg II notes that adjustment and profile setup take learning. That is useful context, not a measured estimate of how long any individual player will need.

A quick decision checklist

  • Choose the Tartarus V2 Pro if its documented MMO-oriented bindings and profile options match the layout you want.
  • Consider the Tartarus Pro if two-stage key actions and configurable actuation matter more than choosing the V2 Pro’s distinct feature set.
  • Consider the Cyborg II if adjustable finger towers are a priority and you are willing to spend time setting up and learning the layout.
  • Consider the Keyzen if you want mechanical keys alongside a 360-degree thumbstick.
  • For any model, verify the current product configuration, the intended game’s input support, and whether the controls are reachable and comfortable for your hand.

These recommendations compare manufacturer-described features and limited review context; they are not the result of hands-on fit, performance, or reliability testing.
