Xbox Store Purchase Not Showing Up? How to Find Your Game

If an Xbox Store game you bought is missing, first check the Microsoft account’s order history at account.microsoft.com/billing. Confirm you’re signed in with the account used to make the purchase, then check the order’s status. Microsoft says recent purchases can take a few minutes to appear.

Check whether the purchase is recorded

1. Go to account.microsoft.com/billing and sign in with the Microsoft account you used to buy the game.
2. Open Payment & billing > Order history.
3. Set the date range to include the purchase, then look for the game order. Microsoft’s order history includes app, game, and subscription purchases; its guidance also recommends confirming that you’re using the correct account. See Microsoft’s instructions for viewing order history.

If you bought the game only moments ago and it is not listed, wait a short time and check again. Microsoft notes that recent purchases may take a few minutes to appear; it does not specify a longer guaranteed delay.

Understand the order status

• Completed or Redeemed: Microsoft describes these statuses as charges that have posted to the payment option.
• In progress: The charge has not yet posted to the payment option, according to Microsoft. Don’t treat this status as confirmation of a completed purchase.
• No order appears: Check the account and date range again. A very recent order may not have appeared yet; if it remains absent, contact Microsoft Support to investigate the transaction.

These statuses describe payment posting. A completed or redeemed charge is not, by itself, a promise that the game will immediately appear in every Xbox library or installation screen.

If the order is complete but the game is missing

Check the game library on the Xbox console or PC where you expect to play, making sure you’re signed in with the same Microsoft account. An order-history entry confirms that Microsoft records an order; it does not by itself establish that a particular installation screen is showing the entitlement.

If the order is listed as Completed or Redeemed but the game still cannot be found in the library, contact Xbox Support and provide the order details.
