ASUS’s ROG Azoth Extreme is a premium 75% gaming keyboard with an OLED touchscreen, a three-way control knob, tri-mode connectivity and an aluminum-alloy chassis. ASUS lists it for $499.99 on its US product page; that is ASUS’s listed US price, not a universal launch price or a guaranteed retailer price.
What is the ROG Azoth Extreme?
ASUS announced the keyboard in Australia on July 22, 2024. It combines a 75% layout with an aluminum-alloy chassis, carbon-fiber positioning plate and adjustable gasket mount. ASUS’s Australian announcement describes its full-color OLED display as 1.47 inches.
The compact layout keeps a function row and navigation controls while taking less desk space than a full-size keyboard with a number pad. ASUS lists dimensions of 332 × 139 × 40 mm and a weight of 2,200 g with the wrist rest. The listed weight is substantial for a compact keyboard, so portability may be less compelling than a stationary desk setup.
What does the OLED screen and control knob do?
The full-color OLED touchscreen presents keyboard status and provides access to controls. ASUS says it can display settings such as brightness and volume. A three-way control knob offers another way to interact with those settings. The screen is a control and status feature, not evidence of a general-purpose display.

The three connection options suit different setups: USB for a wired connection, Bluetooth for compatible devices, and 2.4 GHz wireless through SpeedNova. ASUS’s 8,000 Hz figure is conditional on using its Polling Rate Booster and applies to USB and RF; it should not be read as the Bluetooth polling rate. The listed specifications do not establish battery life or independent latency results.
Hot-swappable switches let owners replace compatible switches without soldering, but the specifications alone do not establish compatibility with every switch type. Snow and Storm are the switch options ASUS lists for the US model; choose based on the feel you prefer rather than assuming one is objectively better.

ASUS’s US product page lists the ROG Azoth Extreme at $499.99. The figure is ASUS’s listed US price and does not establish the launch price in other regions, a current retailer offer, or availability. Check the seller, regional layout and included accessories on the listing before ordering. ASUS lists a wrist rest in the weight specification.

- Compare on verified criteria: For other keyboards, consider layout, connections, switch hot-swap support, display and controls, construction, wrist rest and price. ASUS’s specifications do not establish that this model is faster or better than competing keyboards.
