The figures reported at the time included £471.83 for the Core Ultra 9 285K and several Canadian-dollar prices—but they were retailer listings, not Intel-confirmed MSRPs, and they are not current price quotes.
What the early Arrow Lake CPU listings reported
Arrow Lake-S desktop processors were marketed as Intel Core Ultra 200S. In September 2024, coverage reported listings at three retailers: LambdaTek in the UK, and shopRBC and PC-Canada in Canada. The available reports do not provide the same level of detail for each retailer.
LambdaTek: two UK prices reported
HotHardware reported on September 7, 2024, that UK retailer LambdaTek had listed seven Core Ultra 200K models in box and tray form. Its article gave two specific figures:
- Core Ultra 9 285K: £471.83.
- Core Ultra 5 245K: £250.86.
HotHardware described the listings as almost certainly not final. It also gave approximate contemporary conversions of about $619 and $329, respectively; those were estimates at the time of publication, not fixed prices. HotHardware’s September 7 report.

shopRBC: five products, but no complete price list in the report text
HotHardware reported on September 23, 2024, that Canadian retailer shopRBC had listed five Arrow Lake CPUs. Its article text does not transcribe all five prices, so there is no complete set of figures to reproduce from that report without relying on an image or inference. HotHardware’s September 23 report.
Were these Intel’s official Arrow Lake prices?
No. The reported amounts were preliminary retailer listings before launch. Intel’s October 10, 2024, announcement named five unlocked Core Ultra 200S desktop processors, including the Core Ultra 9 285K, but did not confirm these leaked listing amounts as MSRPs. Intel said retail availability would begin October 24, 2024. That launch date confirms when the processors were due to reach retail; it does not validate the earlier prices. Intel’s support guidance says retailers determine advertised prices and fulfillment, and Intel cannot honor a price advertised by a retailer. That general policy explains why a retailer listing should not be treated as an Intel price guarantee. Intel’s retailer-pricing guidance.

These prices are historical reporting about pre-launch listings, not a guide to what a processor costs now. The cited reports do not establish current inventory, live prices, or present-day availability. For a purchase, check a current seller listing for the exact processor, currency, stock status, and retailer terms; compare that with the platform and performance you need. Do not use a 2024 leak as a current quote.
