“On a budget” is the joke: Tom’s Guide reported on June 6, 2024, that Samsung’s 89-inch Micro LED TV started at $110,000 in the US. The same report listed larger models at $130,000 and $150,000. Those are dated reported prices—not verified current prices or offers.
What did the $110,000 price refer to?

What is Samsung Micro LED?
Samsung describes Micro LED as a display made from tiny, individually controlled LEDs that works without backlighting or color filters. That is the manufacturer’s explanation of the technology, not an independent comparison or test of picture quality.

Micro LED is not Micro RGB
Samsung’s later Micro RGB TVs are a separate product line. In an August 2025 announcement, Samsung described its 115-inch Micro RGB TV as using a micro-scale RGB LED backlight behind the panel. - Current price and stock: The published figures above are dated, and the product page does not confirm present pricing.
- Installation: Tom’s Guide said in 2024 that the sets could be found through custom installers and Samsung’s website. That does not confirm current stock, local installation options, or the requirements for a particular home.
- Picture quality: The available sources do not provide independent side-by-side testing against OLED. Decide based on your priorities and seek a current demonstration rather than assuming Micro LED is better.
- What you are comparing: Match screen size, total purchase and installation costs, and the viewing qualities that matter to you. A price comparison from 2024 is not a current competing offer.
