Open-Shell’s README lists classic-style Start menu support for Windows 7 through Windows 11. Review the official release history for current compatibility notes before installing; it includes an ARM64-specific installation note. Use the project’s README and releases rather than download mirrors.

Check compatibility before installing
Windows build and device architecture matter, and support can change as Windows and the utilities are updated. Before choosing a third-party option:
- Confirm your Windows version and build.
- Check whether the project or vendor documents support for that build and your device architecture.
- Read the current release notes or product guidance, especially where the project identifies security-software conditions.
- For paid tools, confirm the current license, price, and feature set directly with the vendor.
- Use official project or vendor sources; for ExplorerPatcher, the project identifies its GitHub repository as its only official distribution channel.
