If your iPhone speaker sounds distorted or silent, first rule out a setting, case, or blocked opening. If the problem remains, check your coverage and ask Apple or a repair provider for an inspection-based estimate for your exact model and location. Apple does not publish one universal speaker-repair price; its estimate depends on the device inspection and service details.
What to check before booking iPhone speaker repair
Apple recommends checking a few common causes before arranging service. These steps can help identify a setting or obstruction, but cleaning will not repair a failed speaker.
- Turn off Silent mode and Do Not Disturb.
- Remove the case, screen protector, or film and check whether sound improves.
- Check the speaker opening and, on iPhone, the receiver opening for dirt or blockage. If either is dirty, use only a small, clean, dry, soft-bristled brush.
- Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics and move the Ringtone and Alerts slider back and forth. If the slider produces no sound or the speaker button is dimmed, Apple advises seeking service.
- Test a call using speakerphone. If call audio is the only problem, network or reception may be a factor.

Will Apple cover an iPhone speaker repair under warranty?
Apple’s U.S. Limited Warranty covers manufacturing issues for one year from the purchase date. It excludes accidental damage. A speaker fault is not automatically covered: Apple or its service provider must assess the cause, and your coverage status matters. Check your device’s coverage before booking through Apple’s iPhone repair and coverage page.

Where can you get an iPhone speaker repaired?
Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider
Apple offers in-person service through a Genius Bar or Apple Authorized Service Provider, as well as mail-in service. Apple says its stores and authorized-provider network use genuine Apple parts for Apple-certified repairs. Service options vary by location and parts availability. Apple guarantees its service and replacement parts for 90 days or the remaining Apple warranty term, whichever is longer.

Start with Apple’s iPhone repair page to check coverage and available service options. For mail-in service, Apple says it can provide a prepaid shipping box; confirm any applicable shipping fee and the estimate before proceeding.
An independent repair provider
A non-authorized shop may offer its own repair warranty, but Apple says its repairs are not covered by Apple’s warranty or AppleCare. Apple also does not cover damage caused by a non-authorized repair. Before agreeing, request a written diagnosis, parts description, total estimate, and the provider’s warranty terms. Verify authorization directly rather than assuming a shop is Apple-authorized.
