What the UN7300 delivers on PS5
4K gaming up to 60Hz
The reviewed UN7300 supports common resolutions at 60Hz. It is suitable for PS5 gaming at up to 4K/60Hz, but it cannot display the console’s 4K/120Hz output: the TV lacks HDMI 2.1 and does not support 4K/120Hz. [RTINGS UN7300 review]
RTINGS also reports that attempted 1080p/120Hz behavior skips frames and flickers, while 1440p is not displayed properly in its test. A signal or selectable console setting is not proof that the TV renders that mode correctly. Game mode helps responsiveness, not refresh rate

Which NanoCell models support 120Hz or VRR?

Check the actual HDMI port
Even within a named series, available ports can differ. LG USA’s HDMI 2.1 table identifies ports 3 and 4 for the 2020 NANO91, NANO90, and NANO85 and for the 2021 NANO90 and NANO85; the listed 2020 NANO99/NANO97/NANO95 and 2021 NANO99 have all ports specified. - Confirm the TV’s capability. If the TV does not support 4K/120Hz, such as the reviewed UN7300, troubleshooting cannot enable that output mode.
- Update the TV firmware. Install the current firmware available for the exact TV model.
- Connect to the specified HDMI port. On models with port-specific HDMI 2.1 support, use one of the ports identified for the desired feature.
- Check the cable and signal path. Sony recommends the supplied PS5 cable or an appropriate Ultra High Speed HDMI cable where required. Connect the console directly to the TV while troubleshooting, or check whether a receiver or other intermediary supports the signal. A new cable cannot add a capability the TV lacks.

- Look up 4K/120Hz and VRR separately; support for one does not establish support for the other.
