If performance is still poor, lower demanding visual options in stages and compare them in the same area or activity. These are starting points—not a guaranteed frame rate or a proven fix for stuttering.
Start with the official 1080p preset
Steam lists AION 2 as a PC-only Unreal Engine 5 game and gives these compatibility presets for Full HD (1920×1080):

Steam recommends an SSD. These are compatibility recommendations, not a promise of a particular FPS. Check the current global Steam listing if the game is updated, since requirements and preset guidance can change.
Know which regional listing you are using
NC’s Korean PC download page lists closely related hardware requirements, including 8 GB minimum and 16 GB recommended RAM, GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB or Radeon RX 470 4 GB at minimum, and RTX 2070 8 GB or Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB at recommended. Its FHD simplified-graphics presets are Very Low at minimum and Normal at recommended. That recommended preset differs from Steam’s global listing, which says Low; use the guidance for the service and region you play rather than combining the two. See the NC Korean requirements page.

Settings to try on a PC near minimum requirements
Playnews offers a more detailed starting profile for PCs close to minimum requirements. It is one publisher’s recommendation, not an official NC preset or a controlled performance test.

The guide suggests leaving the upscaler disabled at first, then trying it if you still need more performance. Its secondary suggestions are to show other players’ particle effects for Everyone, keep volumetric fog On, use NCAO for ambient occlusion, choose Performance for water reflections, show the tier icon, and turn identical player appearance Off. Adjust settings in a way that shows what helps
- Apply the official preset for your tier. Use Very Low or Low according to the global Steam compatibility guidance at 1080p.
- If performance remains poor, lower demanding detail options. Try shadows, vegetation, clouds, effects, and mass-battle quality first, following the near-minimum profile above.
- Try resolution scaling next. Use Performance or Balanced as starting modes; if you enable the upscaler, compare the result rather than assuming it will help.
- Keep textures at Normal initially. Change this only if you need to continue tuning.
- Compare like with like. Change one setting or group at a time, then revisit the same scene or activity. Consider frame pacing and readability as well as visual detail.
The cited pages do not quantify FPS gains for individual settings, so this sequence is a practical way to test options—not a ranked list of measured improvements.

Both Steam’s global listing and NC’s Korean listing require 100 GB of available storage and recommend an SSD. The listings do not say that an SSD increases frame rate or resolves stuttering. Treat it as an installation and storage recommendation, not a graphics-performance guarantee.
