“Supports most 2D games” is a broad project description, not a compatibility guarantee for a particular title. J2ME-Loader links separate resources for tested touchscreen games, tested non-touchscreen games and games with known bugs. Check the exact title and the input category that applies to it; a game intended for physical phone keys may behave differently from a touchscreen title.
Compatibility information can evolve as the project changes. The repository README carries a copyright range of 2017–2024, while the Play Store listing showed an update date of 2024-08-07. 3D games need extra caution
The project README says J2ME-Loader supports some 3D games, including Mascot Capsule 3D titles. The Google Play listing says Mascot Capsule 3D games do not work. The official descriptions therefore conflict, and they do not establish whether the difference reflects outdated text, different titles or versions, or varying support. Check the exact game in the compatibility resources rather than assuming Mascot Capsule support.
Set up controls and display for an older phone game
J2ME-Loader documents a virtual keyboard, individual settings for each application and scaling. The project README lists Android 4.0 or later as the system requirement. Because that requirement may not reflect current store or device restrictions, verify compatibility in Google Play for the device you intend to use.
Troubleshoot slowdown or flickering

- The display flickers: The README suggests enabling “Immediate processing mode.”
