PrimeXBT, crediting U.Today, reported on October 3, 2026, that Cardano’s ADA had formed a daily golden cross: its 50-day moving average crossed above its 200-day average. The report describes it as the first such signal in 14 months. A golden cross is a chart indicator, not a guarantee that ADA’s price will rise, and the exact crossover date has not been independently verified.
What the reported golden cross means
A golden cross occurs when a shorter-term moving average moves above a longer-term moving average. In this case, PrimeXBT/U.Today identifies the averages as the 50-day and 200-day measures on ADA’s daily chart. The 50-day average reflects more recent prices than the 200-day average, so the crossover is commonly described in market commentary as bullish. It is a lagging indicator derived from past prices, however, not a forecast or promise of future gains.
Why the dates matter
The available reports give two snapshots rather than a precise, independently reproducible crossover timeline:

These reports can both be accurate if the crossover happened after September 24. The reviewed accounts do not establish the exact crossing timestamp, the price-data provider, whether both averages use the same calculation method, or the candle-closing convention. Those details would be needed to reproduce the signal precisely.

What the reports say about the previous signal
PrimeXBT/U.Today says the prior daily golden cross occurred in August 2025, that ADA briefly reached $0.92 on August 14, 2025, and that a daily death cross followed in November 2025. These are historical claims attributed to that outlet, not independently confirmed price-history findings here. The sequence also illustrates why a prior golden cross should not be treated as evidence that the next one predicts a similar price move.

Moving-average readings can differ depending on how they are calculated and which market data is used. A like-for-like check would need to match:

- the timeframe, distinguishing a daily chart from an intraday chart;
- the average type, such as simple or exponential;
- the exchange or price feed used to calculate ADA prices; and
- the candle-close convention and calculation inputs.
The cited reports do not resolve these points or provide a primary price series and reproducible calculation for the October claim. The October 3 report should therefore be read as a reported technical signal, not an independently verified calculation.
