Short answer: A continuously sustained 8 Mbps stream uses about 86.4 GB per day—or 2,592 GB (about 2.6 TB) in 30 days. At 14 Mbps, the estimates rise to about 151.2 GB per day—or 4,536 GB (about 4.5 TB) in 30 days. These are bitrate calculations, not measured Streamlabs Mobile results. Your rupee cost depends on your carrier, plan and usable high-speed data.
Estimated data use for a 24/7 stream
The estimates below assume the stream runs continuously for 24 hours a day and sustains the listed bitrate. YouTube recommends these H.264 bitrates for the corresponding settings. The data figures are calculated from those rates, not published usage measurements from Streamlabs or a mobile network.

For the bitrate recommendations and settings context, see YouTube’s live encoder settings. The calculation uses decimal units, where 1 GB is 1,000,000,000 bytes, and counts the bitrate payload only.

At a constant bitrate, a useful estimate is:
- Decimal GB per day: bitrate in Mbps × 10.8.
- Decimal GB per 30 days: bitrate in Mbps × 324.
For example, 8 Mbps × 10.8 is about 86.4 GB per day. Actual transfer can be higher or lower because the configured maximum is not necessarily the exact bitrate sustained at every moment. Settings changes, adaptive behavior, reconnects, audio and protocol overhead, and the carrier’s counting rules can all affect the total. Leave headroom rather than choosing a plan sized exactly to the calculation.

What Streamlabs Mobile settings affect data use?
Streamlabs Mobile lets you set output resolution, expected frame rate and maximum bitrate. Higher bitrate generally means more upload data over the same time; resolution and frame rate inform the bitrate recommendation, but they do not alone determine your actual transfer. Check the selected settings in the app and use the configured bitrate as an estimate, not a guaranteed consumption rate. The data in the table is the phone’s upload to YouTube. It does not multiply by the number of viewers. If you watch your own live playback on the same phone, that viewing uses separate download data and is not included.

How much will it cost in India?
There is no reliable single rupee amount without the exact current plan and terms. At the example settings, a month-long stream needs roughly 2.6 TB at 720p/8 Mbps or 4.5 TB at 1080p/30 fps/14 Mbps before allowance for overhead and other phone use. Compare that requirement with your plan’s usable high-speed data, daily limits, fair-use policy, post-cap speed or charges, and any add-ons. The actual price and availability depend on your operator, location, network type and plan; current Jio, Airtel, Vi and BSNL tariffs are not established here, so check the operator’s current terms rather than assuming an “unlimited” plan covers this workload.

Measure your own stream before committing
- Check the phone’s mobile-data counter and note its current reading.
- Run a representative stream with the resolution, frame rate and bitrate you intend to use.
- After a measured period, note the change in data use and scale it to the planned streaming hours. For example, multiply a one-hour reading by 24 for a daily estimate, then by 30 for a 30-day estimate.
- Allow for variability and other phone activity; the counter is a practical estimate, not a carrier billing guarantee.
Check YouTube eligibility before planning a 24/7 broadcast
YouTube’s mobile live-stream help page lists requirements including at least 50 subscribers, channel verification, no live-stream restriction in the preceding 90 days, and live streaming activation; the first mobile stream may take up to 24 hours to become available. See YouTube’s mobile live-streaming requirements and check your account’s current status before relying on a start time. These are YouTube mobile-app requirements; they should not be treated as a guarantee that every third-party app workflow has identical eligibility behavior. Phone power and long-running streams
Streamlabs advises starting with a fully charged phone and keeping a charger nearby. Its guide cautions against charging while streaming if possible because it can strain the battery; this is product guidance, not a promise that a phone can safely or reliably run for 24 hours or a month. A power bank is an optional way to keep power available, but it does not reduce data use, and no particular capacity is established here. Consider heat, battery condition, network stability and the phone’s ability to remain connected before treating a mobile setup as unattended.
