What kind of game is it?
PAW Patrol: Dino World is an original story set on Dino Island, a prehistoric location introduced in Season 13 of PAW Patrol. The game is inspired by the upcoming PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie, but the publisher describes it as its own story rather than a direct retelling of the film. Players explore island regions, complete rescues and help dinosaurs and other prehistoric friends. In the Jungle region, for example, tasks include replanting Plumvines, cleaning pollution, repairing bridges and rescuing stranded dinosaurs after Mayor Humdinger’s actions. The April announcement introduced the setting and original story; the Switch 2 announcement describes the region’s activities.

What is different in the Switch 2 version?
Bandai Namco says the Switch 2 edition has these visual improvements over the game’s general platform description:
#1 Best Overall
- BE STRONG, BRAVE AND ROAR: Have Rex and Timmy by your side as you play with the PAW Patrol.
- RESCUE DINOS: Help lost dinosaurs get back to their families and care for them.
- FOSSIL-FILLED ACTION: Activate your pup’s unique skills anytime to overcome obstacles and stop Humdinger’s chaos.
- STOMP AROUND IN STYLE: Uncover accessories, skins and decorations to upgrade your looks
- EXPLORE THE WILDS: Discover the Dino Plains, shores with secret pools, jungle filled with tropical fruit, and crystal caves in the volcano.
- Improved textures and graphics
- More foliage and map decoration
- Longer draw distance
- Enhanced visual effects
The publisher also names local co-op and GameShare as Switch 2 features. These are announced features, not independently measured results: the announcement does not give resolution, frame rate, loading times or benchmark comparisons. See the publisher’s Switch 2 feature list.
Can two people play?
Yes. The publisher describes solo play and two-player co-op; the Switch 2 announcement specifies local co-op and GameShare. It does not detail the exact setup or limitations for GameShare, so check the game’s current listing or in-game instructions for those particulars.

Which pups can you play as?
The June gameplay announcement names six playable pups. Their tools and abilities help with different obstacles and rescues:

Is Nick Jr. or Rubble & Crew part of the game?
The official game announcements describe a PAW Patrol adventure and name its pups and other characters. They do not establish a separate Nick Jr. or Rubble & Crew crossover. Rubble is playable as a PAW Patrol pup, but that alone does not make this a Rubble & Crew game.
