It captures a rendered page and converts it into editable Figma layers; it does not import a React codebase or Webflow project. For a public page, use its URL importer. For a private or state-specific page, capture it with the browser extension.
What HTML.to.design supports—and what it does not
HTML.to.design describes a workflow for capturing a rendered webpage and bringing it into Figma as editable layers. That is different from importing the source project behind the page. Its displayed supported-tool list names Notion, but does not list React or Webflow as framework integrations (product features; supported online tools).
- React: You can try capturing a live page rendered by a React application. The documented workflow concerns the page as displayed in a browser, not a React repository, components, or application code.
- Webflow: You can likewise try capturing a published Webflow page. The documentation does not describe importing a Webflow project or its editable Designer structure.
- Result: The destination is editable Figma layers, not a functioning copy of the original website. The documentation does not promise that every layout, asset, font, interaction, or responsive state will be reproduced exactly.
Choose an import method based on page access
Public page: enter its URL
- Open the html.to.design plugin in Figma.
- Enter the public page URL.
- Choose the viewport and theme relevant to the design you want to inspect.
- Import the page, then examine the resulting layers in Figma.
This method captures the publicly accessible rendered page. It does not turn a framework project into native Figma components.
Private, logged-in, or state-specific page: use the browser extension
If the page requires a login, is on a private network, or depends on a particular state visible in your browser, capture that page with the html.to.design extension. You can send the capture to the plugin or save it as an .h2d file and import that file. See the browser-extension instructions and browser installation information.

The installation page lists Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc, and other Chromium-based browsers. Store availability and browser support can change, so check the current listing before relying on a particular browser.
Local markup: use HTML/CSS or supported files
The product also documents entering HTML/CSS and uploading local .html, .htm, or .zip files (feature list). This route is for markup files; it is not documented as accepting a React app repository, a Webflow project file, or a framework-specific source export.

How to judge whether the import is good enough
Run a trial using the actual page and the state you need. Inspect the imported Figma layers against the browser page at the intended viewport. HTML.to.design lists multi-viewport support, but does not establish perfect reproduction across responsive layouts or interactive states.
- Layout: Check spacing, alignment, section widths, and whether elements that should move at narrower sizes do so as expected.
- Assets and typography: Verify that images, icons, and fonts appear as intended; the available documentation does not guarantee a perfect asset or font match.
- Interactions: Treat the capture as a page representation, not a promise that menus, forms, animations, or other browser behavior become working Figma interactions.
- State: If the design depends on a logged-in view, open the exact state in your browser and use the extension capture rather than assuming a public URL import can reproduce it.
CAPTCHA and access problems
The extension documentation says the URL importer cannot solve a CAPTCHA automatically. If a challenge blocks the page, open it in the browser, complete the challenge yourself, and capture the visible page with the browser extension (extension documentation).

Plan limits and pricing
As listed on the official plan page when reviewed, Free allows up to 10 imports every 30 days. Pro is listed at $12 per user per month with annual billing or $18 per user per month with monthly billing. The page describes a fair-use policy and a 1,000-import monthly limit for typical individual use. These are changeable product terms; check the current plan page before choosing a plan.

No framework-specific compatibility matrix or quality guarantee is documented. Test the page and viewport you need, then inspect the imported layers.
