Cloudinary URL2PNG fits teams that want website screenshots to flow into Cloudinary’s image pipeline; ScreenshotOne is a standalone screenshot API with more request-level rendering controls and several documented input and output formats. Cloudinary’s add-on lists 50 free captures and paid tiers from $6 per month, but paid tiers require a paid Cloudinary base plan. ScreenshotOne lists 100 free captures per month and paid plans from $17 per month. The better choice depends on workflow, required controls, volume and total account cost—not on these prices alone.
What each service does
Cloudinary URL2PNG
Cloudinary URL2PNG is an add-on that creates screenshots of public websites within Cloudinary’s image management and transformation pipeline. The resulting image can be resized, cropped, filtered, overlaid and delivered through Cloudinary. Its documentation highlights viewport, user-agent and delay options. By default, URLs using the add-on must be signed or eagerly generated; Cloudinary documents a Console Settings option to allow unsigned add-on transformations.
ScreenshotOne
ScreenshotOne is a hosted screenshot and rendering API. Its request options documentation covers website URLs, HTML and Markdown inputs; output options include image formats, PDF, HTML and Markdown. Requests use HTTPS and an access key, and the service also documents optional signatures.
Pricing and included volume
The following vendor-published prices and quotas were observed in 2026 and may change. Cloudinary add-on prices are separate from its base plan; ScreenshotOne says its prices exclude VAT.

Cloudinary’s add-on is billed separately from its base plan, so the marketplace price is not the complete cost for a buyer who needs a paid base plan. Check the account’s base-plan cost and add-on terms in Cloudinary billing documentation and the Cloudinary add-ons marketplace.
ScreenshotOne’s pricing FAQ distinguishes failed HTTP, browser or network requests—which do not consume quota—from successful captures that have visual issues, which can count. Cached responses generally do not count when served from cache, but a cache miss or expired entry can lead to a new render. Check the current ScreenshotOne pricing page for terms and overage settings. Compare actual expected monthly cost using your Cloudinary account needs or ScreenshotOne’s expected successful, uncached renders, rather than treating the listed tiers as a like-for-like total.

Which one should you choose?
Choose Cloudinary URL2PNG when
- The screenshot needs to become part of an existing Cloudinary asset, transformation or delivery workflow.
- Your team is comfortable managing the add-on and its default signed-or-eager-generation URL workflow.
- The additional Cloudinary base-plan cost, if applicable, makes sense for your account as a whole.
Choose ScreenshotOne when
- You want a dedicated screenshot API rather than a screenshot feature embedded in an image platform.
- You need documented request controls such as selectors, device emulation, content blocking, waits or localization.
- Your inputs or outputs include HTML or Markdown, or you need one of the documented non-image output formats.
- The published quota and request rate suit your volume and workload.
Neither vendor’s documentation establishes that its screenshots are more visually accurate or that its service is more reliable. Decide using required formats and controls, where output assets must live, authentication, rate needs and your calculated total cost.
