You can keep morning prayers and aarti available on YouTube around the clock by sending a live camera feed or rights-cleared prepared video and audio through an encoder, then monitoring the stream and planning for outages. A continuous broadcast is an operational goal, not a guarantee of uninterrupted service: channel eligibility, a stable connection, content rights, recovery, and replay plans all matter.

Choose what viewers will see and hear

Decide whether the broadcast will show a live view of a prayer or aarti venue, or prepared visuals with audio and video. A live venue view requires appropriate permission to film and a camera and encoder setup. Prepared material can avoid a continuously staffed camera, but every recording, arrangement, performance, image, and video element still needs rights for livestream use.

Do not assume that devotional subject matter makes a recording or image free to use. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match may replace the video with a placeholder and, if the material remains, temporarily interrupt or terminate the broadcast. Even licensed third-party content can be interrupted if the rights owner has not added your channel to its Content ID allowlist. YouTube advises asking the owner to allowlist the channel when you have a license: YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams.

Confirm your channel can go live

YouTube’s eligibility guidance says the channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. Its general guidance also says streamers must be at least 16. First-time live-stream activation may take up to 24 hours, so enable access and confirm eligibility well before the planned broadcast rather than on launch day. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility requirements and YouTube’s encoder setup instructions.

Set up the YouTube stream and encoder

  1. Create the stream in YouTube Studio. Open Live Control Room, create a stream, and obtain the server URL and stream key. YouTube’s encoder workflow uses these details to receive the feed.
  2. Enter the details in your encoder. Use software or hardware that supports YouTube’s encoder workflow. Treat the stream key like a password: anyone who has it may be able to send a feed to your stream. Keep it private and reset it if it is exposed.
  3. Set the video and audio format. YouTube’s current encoder guidance lists RTMP/RTMPS, H.264 among supported video codecs, and AAC or MP3 audio. It recommends constant bitrate (CBR) encoding and a two-second keyframe interval; the interval should not exceed four seconds. Follow the current settings guidance for your chosen resolution and frame rate: YouTube recommended encoder settings.
  4. Choose a sustainable resolution and bitrate. For H.264 at 1080p30, YouTube lists a recommended bitrate range of 5–14 Mbps. That is a recommendation for that specific configuration, not a universal requirement. Select settings according to the sustained upload capacity at the venue or encoder location, and leave YouTube’s recommended 20% upload headroom above the total stream bitrate. Higher resolution or frame rate generally requires more upload capacity; check YouTube’s current table rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all preset.
  5. Preview before starting the broadcast. Start sending the encoder feed, check the Live Control Room preview and stream-health indicators, then start the public broadcast through YouTube Studio’s workflow. Confirm that both video and audio are reaching YouTube correctly.

Test, monitor, and prepare for interruptions

Run a private or unlisted test using representative motion and sound before the first public broadcast. Check audio levels, picture quality, viewer playback, stream health, and any local recording. Test under the network conditions and with the equipment you expect to use for the actual schedule.

A round-the-clock broadcast also needs a response plan. YouTube recommends testing, monitoring quality and stream health, and having enough bandwidth for the primary and backup stream plus headroom. Decide who—or what service—will detect and respond to encoder failure, power loss, network disruption, a dropped YouTube connection, or a rights warning. This is operational planning, not a YouTube uptime guarantee.

Plan how viewers will replay the broadcast

Do not rely on YouTube’s automatic archive for one continuous 24-hour stream. YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived and recommends keeping a local archive backup; if a stream exceeds 12 hours, it may not be captured at all. Decide in advance whether you need a local recording or shorter planned broadcasts to preserve replays. See YouTube’s live-stream archive guidance.

Or let it run in the cloud

If you do not want a computer, encoder, or home connection to stay on, StreamNeo keeps an uploaded video or playlist streaming to YouTube from the cloud. Upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting a live camera view.
