In The Crypto Times’ September 30 chart commentary, the key test was clearing and holding above roughly $1.70; staying above about $1.40 would keep the recent range intact, while losing that area would weaken the recovery. These are dated technical levels, not a live quote or a dependable prediction.
What the XRP chart was showing
Coverage published around October 3 described XRP as consolidating near $1.50. AMBCrypto said the token had traded around that level for more than four weeks, while noting that a prolonged range can break either upward or downward. AMBCrypto’s report is a dated market snapshot, not evidence of where XRP trades now.
The Crypto Times reported an XRP price observation of approximately $1.50 at 15:09 UTC on September 30, 2026, citing a Coinbase XRP/USD daily chart. Its chart account described a September decline toward $1.26, a recovery toward $1.60, and resistance in the $1.57–$1.70 area. What would make a breakout more convincing?
A brief move above a resistance level is not the same as a sustained breakout. In the cited chart analysis, holding above about $1.70 is the central bullish test. Readers assessing the setup can distinguish a stronger move from a short-lived spike by checking whether price stays above that area and whether trading activity and demand confirm the move rather than simply appearing alongside it.
- Resistance: The Crypto Times placed the immediate resistance area around $1.57–$1.70 and said a breakout needs to hold above roughly $1.70.
- Support: Remaining above roughly $1.40 would leave the range scenario open; losing it would weaken the recovery case.
- Confirmation: Volume and demand signals can provide context, but neither the reports nor the indicators they cite establish the direction or timing of the next move.

The Crypto Times reported approximately $75.6 million in U.S. spot XRP ETF inflows during the September 21–25, 2026 trading week and cumulative net inflows of about $1.79 billion for late September, attributing the figures to SoSoValue. These are secondary figures reported by The Crypto Times, not data independently verified here. Inflows may support spot demand, but purchases can be offset by selling elsewhere and do not guarantee a price rise.

Liquidity and positioning
AMBCrypto reported, citing CoinGecko, a snapshot of $18 million in bids versus $14 million in asks within a ±2% range across eight exchanges, along with rising long positioning. That report also described bid liquidity as supportive. These are attributed snapshots, not enduring conditions: order books and positions can change quickly, and they do not establish that XRP will break upward.
