Real Madrid’s 26 September medical report confirmed that Kylian Mbappé has a hyperextension of the posterior capsule of his left knee, with his condition “awaiting evolution.” Reports on 2 October said he had travelled to Paris during the international break and was not training normally with the team. The club has not announced a return-to-training date or confirmed his availability for a match.
What happened in Paris?
RotoWire reported on 2 October that Mbappé was in Paris during the international break, citing Madrid Zone, and said Real Madrid had approved the trip. Mundo Deportivo also reported that the club’s position, conveyed indirectly, was that Mbappé’s actions had the consent of coach José Mourinho and the medical services. Neither account is a direct club announcement specifically about the trip.
The reports do not establish why Mbappé travelled to Paris. They also do not describe his daily schedule or provide a detailed treatment plan, so the trip alone does not show whether he was receiving treatment, exercising, or resting.

Contemporary coverage said the injury occurred while Mbappé was playing for France against Türkiye on 25 September. The club’s report confirmed the diagnosis the next day but did not describe how or when the injury happened.
Is Mbappé training with Real Madrid?
RotoWire reported on 2 October that Mbappé was not yet able to train normally with the club. Mundo Deportivo reported that he missed the team’s fifth training session of that week. These reports establish an absence from normal team training, not that he was forbidden from all exercise or had stopped receiving care.
RotoWire’s report attributes the Paris-trip details to Madrid Zone. Mundo Deportivo’s report covers his training-session absence and the indirectly conveyed club position.
