Justin Jefferson is officially out for the Minnesota Vikings’ Week 4 game against the Miami Dolphins because of an ankle injury. He did not practice Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, according to the Vikings’ Week 4 injury report; the NFL’s official injury report also lists him as out.

Minnesota is scheduled to host Miami on Sunday, October 4, 2026. The Vikings list kickoff at 3:05 p.m. CDT and FOX as the broadcast network on their official site.
What is known about Jefferson’s ankle injury
The Vikings report that Jefferson sustained the ankle injury late in the first quarter of the September 27 game at Tampa Bay. He had two catches for 32 yards before leaving that game, according to the team’s September 27 injury update. That figure is for the Tampa Bay game, not his season total.

The official reports establish that Jefferson will miss Week 4, but they do not provide an injury grade, a return date or a recovery forecast. There is not enough confirmed information to predict when he will play again.
