GamesBeat’s October 2, 2026 exclusive reports that Stardock first built it for its own game-development and live-operations work, with examples ranging from crash-log analysis to build monitoring and Jira task creation. Those examples come from Stardock’s use of its own product; they are not independently verified results.
What is Stardock Clairvoyance?
Clairvoyance is software for Windows, macOS, and Linux that Stardock describes as running on the user’s computer and working with local files. Rather than presenting itself simply as a hosted chatbot, it is positioned as a workspace where named AI staff members can be assigned tasks and return work products. See Stardock’s Clairvoyance site for its current product description.
The product concept is to keep AI work attached to a project workspace: assign work, give agents access to relevant context, and review what they produce. Stardock’s descriptions are product claims, not an independent assessment of reliability, output quality, or how much human review a task needs.
How Clairvoyance helps game developers
GamesBeat’s Dean Takahashi reports that Stardock developed Clairvoyance for internal game-development and live-operations tasks, including repetitive work between creative and engineering teams. The examples below were described in GamesBeat’s October 2, 2026 article and attributed to Stardock’s use of the product; they should not be read as guaranteed capabilities or independently audited case studies.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Development and build operations
- Asset and data handling: importing human-created art into custom game engines and converting Microsoft Word documents into CSV data.
- Crash and code investigation: analyzing crash logs, pinpointing code failures, and looking for patterns such as driver-related crash spikes or configuration problems.
- Build monitoring: watching build machines and servers for errors. Wardell recounted an agent alerting him to a build error during a Steam publisher sale.
- Issue tracking: creating and assigning Jira tasks based on operational findings.
- Localization and data workflows: supporting localization processes and storing generated data consistently.
Other reported workflows
GamesBeat also describes agents coordinating code terminals, converting documents to structured data, assembling video edits from real footage and a script, building operations dashboards from exports, and scheduling tasks such as monitoring support forums or reviewing overnight logs. Stardock further recounted an agent pausing an advertising campaign after identifying abnormal bot-driven traffic. These are company-reported examples, not independent evidence that the app will perform the same way in another studio.
Wardell characterized the product’s focus as work between creative roles: “It’s kind of funny because we all thought AI was going to come for the writers and the artists and the engineers. Like, it’s that’s not what clairvoyance is mostly about taking care of the grunt work that’s in between all those three groups,” Wardell. GamesBeat also reported a discussion figure that level designers spend roughly 10% of their time on creative work and 90% on implementation and troubleshooting. The article does not identify a survey, sample, or underlying study, so that number should be treated as a remark from the discussion, not a general industry statistic.

Can Clairvoyance work with local files and AI coding tools?
Stardock’s product positioning emphasizes work on a user’s computer and access to local project files. A May 2026 Beta 2 announcement described knowledge-trained agents, autonomous Missions with configurable guardrails and progress tracking, visual outputs such as rendered wireframes and interactive HTML exhibits, workspace relationship visualizations, and a code editor with language-server features and AI autocomplete. It also described browser access, organization-level Domains, and credential management. These are Beta 2-era details, not confirmation that every feature remains in the current release; consult the Stardock site and product changelog for current availability.
Stardock’s materials also describe compatibility with existing AI provider tools and local models. The materials cited here do not establish exact provider and model compatibility for every setup, required hardware specifications, or performance on a particular computer. Teams evaluating it should confirm current integrations and test their own workflows before relying on it for production tasks.

What collaboration and remote access does it offer?
In an August 25, 2026 announcement, Stardock described Multiplayer AI as allowing a second person to join a live session and work with the same agents while the work remains on the host computer. The announcement also described access to a user’s sessions across computers and an iPhone app for directing work running on those computers. These are descriptions from that dated company announcement; current availability and plan requirements should be checked with Stardock. Read the August announcement distributed through PR Newswire.
