To see which games are leaving Xbox Game Pass soon, check the official Xbox Game Pass catalog’s Leaving soon collection, then confirm the game’s removal date and platform in the latest Xbox Wire Game Pass update. The catalog describes its collection as covering games leaving within the next two weeks.
Check the Xbox Game Pass catalog for games leaving soon
-
Open the Xbox Game Pass games catalog.
-
Choose Leaving soon from the catalog’s collections. Xbox describes this view as showing games exiting the library in the next two weeks.
-
Look for the game and note the platform availability shown with it. If the game is missing or the removal date is unclear, use the latest Xbox Wire update as a second check.
Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
The collection is a rolling near-term view, not a calendar of every future removal. Its contents can change, so an old screenshot or search result may no longer reflect what subscribers see.

Confirm the removal date and platform in Xbox Wire
-
Open the newest dated Xbox Wire post about Game Pass updates. For example, the September 15, 2026 update has a “Leaving” section.
-
Find the game in that section and read the date in its heading, such as “Leaving September 30.” Use the date stated in the post rather than estimating from when the game first appeared in the catalog.

Which source should you use?
| Checking route | Best for | What to verify |
|---|---|---|

| Latest Xbox Wire Game Pass update | Finding the date in a dated announcement | The “Leaving” date and platform label for the specific title |
What to do if a game you play is leaving
If you want to keep playing after the game leaves the subscription library, check the game’s current store listing to see whether you can buy it for your platform. Xbox departure notices sometimes mention a member discount, but neither availability nor discount is universal; verify the specific game and offer before buying.
For context, Xbox Wire’s July 21, 2026 post and April 7, 2026 post included purchase prompts, and the April notice described savings of up to 20% for that notice. Those historical examples do not establish a current discount for another game or date.

Why you should not rely on an old leaving list
Xbox Wire examples show that departure announcements are tied to specific dates: the September 1, 2026 update and the July 21, 2026 update each named games leaving on particular dates. These are historical snapshots, not a standing list of current or upcoming removals. Check the live catalog and the newest update whenever you need an answer.
