What to expect from each October premiere
October 2: The Last First: Winter K2
This documentary follows a 2021 winter expedition to K2 involving Icelandic climber John Snorri Sigurjónsson and Pakistani climbers Ali and Sajid Sadpara, as well as commercial clients and other teams. Its subject is not only the climb: the film’s account places climbing culture, risk, strategy, class and power in the frame.

October 7: Small Prophets
Michael Sleep hopes that his missing partner, Clea, will come back. When his father shares an old alchemical recipe, Michael tries to create homunculi that might predict the future. That unusual premise anchors this month’s new comedy series.
October 9: Matchbox The Movie
John Cena plays Sean, an undercover CIA agent whose return draws his childhood friends into an international pursuit. Apple describes the action film as inspired by Mattel’s Matchbox toys; that connection is to the toy line generally and does not establish that a movie-branded toy is available. Apple’s February 2026 slate independently confirms the October 9 premiere and premise in its 2026 programming announcement.
