The reliable way to use it is to start from Telegram’s official web entry point, complete the QR or phone-number login flow, and then review or revoke the browser session from Settings → Devices.
These two tips cover the current Telegram Web interface, including login labels and common problems.
Tip 1: Start at Telegram’s official Web page and allow JavaScript
Open https://web.telegram.org/ in your browser. The page should show “Log in to Telegram by QR Code”. Telegram Web requires JavaScript; if it is blocked, the page displays: “Please, enable JavaScript to open the app.”
There is no Telegram login command to type into Command Prompt, PowerShell, Terminal, or the browser address bar. Open the official URL in your browser.

Which Telegram Web address should you use?
Telegram’s official applications page lists two browser editions: Telegram WebK and Telegram WebA. The general public entry point is https://web.telegram.org/. Telegram also provides the direct WebK address at https://webk.telegram.org/.
The practical choices are:

Older guides may tell you to choose between URLs containing /k/ and /a/, or may describe WebZ as a current edition. Telegram’s current applications page lists WebK and WebA; use the generic official web address or an edition listed on that page.
Check JavaScript before troubleshooting login
If the page only shows the JavaScript warning, check the browser’s site permissions for web.telegram.org. Also temporarily test without extensions that block scripts, aggressive tracking protection, or content filters. A private window can help identify whether an extension is interfering.
JavaScript being enabled does not guarantee that every browser feature will behave identically. Telegram’s FAQ recommends a non-mobile browser for some account-management tasks, such as account deletion. That recommendation does not guarantee that every Telegram Web function works on every mobile browser.

Tip 2: Log in with QR code, then manage the session under Devices
The fastest login method is usually the QR flow shown on the web page.
- Open Telegram Web in the browser.
- Choose or leave displayed “Log in by QR Code.”
- On the phone that is already signed in to Telegram, open Settings → Devices → Add Device.
- Scan the QR code shown in the browser.
- Confirm the login when Telegram asks.
The direct WebK page uses the same route and says, “Point your phone at this screen to confirm login.” Depending on the app’s language or interface wording, Add Device may appear as Link Desktop Device. If the wording differs, start at Settings → Devices.

If QR login does not work
Make sure the QR code is visible and being scanned from Telegram’s device-linking screen, not the phone’s ordinary camera app. Refresh the web page to request a new code if the existing one has expired. If the page itself is not loading correctly, return to Tip 1: confirm that you opened an official Telegram address and that JavaScript is working.
After a successful login, the browser appears as an additional Telegram session, not merely a live mirror of the phone screen. Telegram supports simultaneous logins on multiple devices, and ordinary cloud chats synchronize between them.
Use phone-number login when QR login is unavailable
Telegram Web also offers “Log in by phone number.” Enter the number in international format: +(country code)(city or carrier code)(your number).
Enter the country code and number as Telegram expects rather than adding a local trunk prefix or formatting the number as a domestic call.
The verification code may arrive in Telegram instead of by SMS. If the account was recently used on another Telegram app or device, check the verified “Telegram” chat. Not receiving an SMS does not necessarily mean Telegram failed to send a code.
If 2-Step Verification is enabled, login requires both the verification code and the Telegram account password. You can configure that protection in the phone app under Settings → Privacy and Security → 2-Step Verification.

Keep control of the phone number connected to the account. A code delivered inside Telegram does not remove the need for an up-to-date number that the account owner controls. Losing access to that number can eventually mean losing access to the account.
Review or remove the browser session
On the phone, open Settings → Devices. The list shows active Telegram sessions, including the browser you just authorized. From there you can inspect sessions and terminate one you no longer recognize or need.
This is especially important on a shared, public, or work computer. Do not leave Telegram Web signed in on a machine other people can use. If you choose Telegram’s logout option, cloud messages remain in the account, but Secret Chats and their messages are removed from that logged-out session.
Secret Chats are tied to the specific device or login session. They do not synchronize to Telegram Web like ordinary cloud chats. Use Telegram Web primarily for cloud conversations and other content available through synchronized sessions.

Telegram’s FAQ notes that some documentation can become outdated as the service changes. When a label differs from an older guide, follow the live Telegram Web page and use Settings → Devices as the session-management route.

Is Telegram Web an official Telegram service?
Yes. Telegram officially lists Telegram WebK and Telegram WebA among its browser editions. Start from https://web.telegram.org/ or use an edition linked from Telegram’s official applications page.

Can I open Telegram Web with a command?
No. Telegram does not provide a browser or terminal command for opening or logging in to Telegram Web. Open the official URL in a JavaScript-enabled browser.
Where does the Telegram Web login code go?
Telegram may send the code to the verified “Telegram” chat on an already logged-in device instead of by SMS. If 2-Step Verification is enabled, you must also enter the account password.

How do I log out of Telegram Web remotely?
In the phone app, open Settings → Devices, select the browser session, and terminate it. This removes that browser’s access while keeping the account and cloud chats intact.
Do Secret Chats appear on Telegram Web?
Secret Chats are tied to a particular device or login session. They do not synchronize to Telegram Web in the same way as ordinary cloud chats.
The Bottom Line
Use https://web.telegram.org/, make sure JavaScript is enabled, and choose “Log in by QR Code” or “Log in by phone number.” For QR login, the phone path is Settings → Devices → Add Device—or Link Desktop Device in some localized interfaces.
