Cisco Webex works on Windows 11 through the current Webex App. Download the Windows MSI, install it for your user without administrator rights, then sign in to join or start meetings and configure your camera and microphone. Most people should choose the regular Webex App package; the bundle is intended for computers that cannot download meeting components after installation or organizations still using the separate Meetings desktop app.
Check that your Windows 11 PC is supported
Webex App for Windows requires Windows 10 or later and supports 64-bit Windows only. Windows 11 is covered by Cisco’s “Windows 10 and later” requirement. Supported processor architectures include x64 and Arm64.
To check your system type, open Control Panel → System → About → System type. Confirm that Windows identifies the system as 64-bit and reports an x64-based or Arm-based processor. A 32-bit Webex installer is not the correct download for the current Windows app.
Cisco recommends keeping Windows drivers current, particularly those affecting audio, video, graphics, and network hardware. Windows Insider and other Windows pre-release or early-release versions are not supported.

Other requirements that can affect Webex
- Windows N editions: Install the Microsoft Media Feature Pack. Without it, media-related Webex functions may not work correctly.
- Microsoft Edge WebView2: Webex requires this embedded-browser component. Cisco provides an Evergreen Bootstrapper and an Evergreen Standalone Installer if WebView2 is missing.
- System clock: Incorrect Windows date, time, or time-zone settings can interfere with joining meetings and calls.
To check the clock, right-click the time on the Windows taskbar, select Adjust date and time, and enable automatic time synchronization where appropriate.
Download Webex App for Windows 11
- Open Cisco’s Webex downloads page.
- Locate the Windows download.
- Download the current Windows installer.
- Open the downloaded .msi file and follow the installation prompts.
The normal package is Webex App only. It installs Webex App and downloads the desktop Meetings components when they are needed.
On a normal personal or work PC, you can run the MSI without administrator privileges. The default per-user installation location is %LocalAppData%\Programs\Cisco Spark.
A per-computer installation is also available, but it requires administrator access. This option is more suitable for organization-managed computers where the app must be installed for multiple users.

Cisco lists these current Windows MSI types:

The file names are reused because the download architecture determines which package is being installed. For bulk deployment, Cisco recommends deploying the non-localized MSI through a third-party distribution system. Deploying a localized package in bulk can cause uninstall problems.
Install Webex silently with MSI commands
IT administrators can run the commands below from Command Prompt or a software-deployment tool. Replace c:\work\Webex.msi with the actual path to the installer.
Silent per-user installation
msiexec /i c:\work\Webex.msi /qn
This installs Webex without displaying the normal installation interface.
Silent per-computer installation
msiexec /i c:\work\Webex.msi ACCEPT_EULA=TRUE ALLUSERS=1
ALLUSERS=1 installs for the computer and requires administrator privileges.
Control automatic startup
To start Webex with Windows:
msiexec /i c:\work\Webex.msi AUTOSTART_WITH_WINDOWS=true ALLUSERS=1

This is the documented default and prevents the user from changing the startup control. To prevent automatic startup while leaving the setting changeable by the user, use:
msiexec /i c:\work\Webex.msi AUTOSTART_WITH_WINDOWS=false ALLUSERS=1

Set the default theme
The documented default theme is Dark. To install with the Light theme:
msiexec /i c:\work\Webex.msi DEFAULT_THEME=”Light” ALLUSERS=1
Set an installation folder
msiexec /i c:\work\Webex.msi INSTALL_ROOT=”C:\Program Files\Cisco Spark” ALLUSERS=1
Enable Outlook integration
Outlook presence integration is disabled by default. To enable it during installation:
msiexec /i c:\work\Webex.msi ENABLEOUTLOOKINTEGRATION=1 ALLUSERS=1
Delete existing user data during installation
msiexec /i c:\work\Webex.msi DELETEUSERDATA=1 ALLUSERS=1
The default is DELETEUSERDATA=0, which retains the Webex database and log files. Use the delete option deliberately because it removes the existing user data during installation.

Do not use a fixed email with ALLUSERS=1 on a multi-user computer. Cisco documents dynamic values for those devices:
msiexec /i Webex.msi EMAIL=$userPrincipalName ALLUSERS=1
msiexec /i Webex.msi EMAIL=$mail ALLUSERS=1
msiexec /i Webex.msi EMAIL=$SAMAccountName ALLUSERS=1
When the EMAIL property is used, users cannot change the Webex identity selected for sign-in.

For bundle packages only, you can use FORCELOCKDOWN to lock the Meetings app when compatible:
msiexec /i WebexBundle.msi FORCELOCKDOWN=LockWhenCompatible
Sign in to Webex on Windows 11
After installation, Webex App opens. Sign in with your organization-issued Webex account or an account supplied by your service provider. If you do not have an account, choose a Webex plan first.
The first launch may show introductory tips. Once signed in, the main meeting workspace is the Meetings tab.
Configure your microphone, camera, and meeting options
- Select your profile picture.
- Select Settings.
- Open Audio, Video, Notifications, or Join options.
In Audio, choose the headset, speaker, and microphone Webex should use. You can also configure background-noise removal and speech enhancement. In Video, select the camera, enable Mirror my video, blur the background, or choose a virtual background.
If your calendar is connected, upcoming meetings can appear in the Meetings tab. Use the built-in meeting-start flow to test the microphone, camera, and screen-sharing settings before an important call.

Join a Webex meeting
From Webex App:
- Open Meetings.
- Enter a meeting number, meeting link, video address, or host Personal Room ID in Join a Meeting.
- Press Enter.
- Check the audio and video preview, then join.
For a meeting listed under upcoming meetings, select Join next to the meeting. Depending on the host’s settings, the Join button may appear up to 15 minutes before the scheduled start.
Start or schedule a meeting
Use the Meetings tab for meeting scheduling and Personal Room controls.

- To start a Personal Room meeting, use the Personal Room start control on the Meetings dashboard.
- To review meeting summaries, recaps, or recordings, open Meetings recaps.
Use the separate Webex Meetings desktop app
The Webex Meetings desktop app is separate from Webex App. Most users should use Webex App, but the standalone app may still be required by an organization or a Webex site that has not migrated.
Install it manually
- Open Webex User Hub.
- Go to Downloads.
- Under Webex Meetings, select the Windows download button.
- Run the downloaded Windows .msi file and follow the prompts.
The desktop Meetings app can also be installed automatically after you start or join a meeting from User Hub or an email invitation.
If an older Meetings desktop app is already installed, uninstall it before installing the newer version.
Sign in to the Meetings desktop app
- Enter your email address.
- Select Sign In.
- Select or enter your Webex site URL.
- Enter your password.
Its dashboard includes Upcoming Meetings and a Join a Meeting field. That field accepts a meeting number, link, video address, or Personal Room ID.
The desktop Meetings app can connect to compatible Webex video devices through Connect to a device. Discovery listens for ultrasound signals through the computer microphone; Cisco states that this audio is not stored or sent to Cisco.
To check the Meetings desktop app version, select the gear icon for App setting, then choose About.

Webex App periodically checks for newer versions and upgrades itself in the same system folder. For the separate Meetings desktop app, automatic updating is enabled by default for the Webex site. While the app is running, it checks every six to eight hours. If an update is available, a blue Update option appears in the upper-right corner.
The Meetings desktop app may show Update now when migration to Webex App is available. Migration requires administrator availability and Meetings desktop app version 41.10 or later. After migration, the Meetings desktop app is removed and meetings and settings move to Webex App.

Webex Training sessions are not supported in Webex App, so Webex Training must continue to be used separately.
Fix common Windows 11 installation and joining problems

FAQ
Does Webex work on Windows 11?
Yes. Cisco lists Windows 10 and later as supported, which includes Windows 11. The current Windows app requires 64-bit Windows and supports x64 and Arm64 systems.
Can I install Webex without administrator access?
Yes. The normal per-user MSI installation can be run without administrator privileges. A per-computer installation, such as one using ALLUSERS=1, requires administrator rights.
Is there a 32-bit Webex installer for Windows?
The current Windows Webex App documentation supports 64-bit Windows only. Check Control Panel → System → About → System type before downloading.
Should I install Webex App or Webex Meetings?

Why does Webex need Microsoft Edge WebView2?

Where do I join a meeting in Webex App?

Why can I not see the Join or Start button yet?
For scheduled meetings, Join may appear up to 15 minutes before the meeting and Start up to five minutes before it, depending on the meeting and host settings.

No. Cisco states that Webex Training sessions are not supported in Webex App, so Webex Training must continue to be used separately.
The Bottom Line
For most Windows 11 PCs, download the regular 64-bit Webex App, install the MSI per user, sign in, and configure devices under Profile picture → Settings. Use the Meetings tab to join or start calls. Choose the bundle only when the computer is locked down or still requires the separate Meetings desktop app, and check WebView2, Media Feature Pack, drivers, and Windows time if meetings fail.
