Version 1.8.3 reportedly shows “Could Not Fetch Data”, and retrying or connecting through a VPN does not restore the service. You can still follow the sideloading process below if you are testing an APK, but installation does not mean the app will provide working channels.
Live Net TV is not available in the official Amazon Appstore. Installing it requires Downloader and an APK obtained from a third-party source. Neither the download code nor the websites mentioned below should be treated as an official Live Net TV developer channel.
What you need before installing Live Net TV
- An Amazon Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Cube, or Fire TV with an internet connection
- The Downloader app installed from the Amazon Appstore
- Permission for Downloader to install apps from unknown sources
- A third-party Live Net TV APK source
Because Live Net TV is sideloaded, Amazon does not verify or maintain the APK through the Appstore. Check that you have the right to access any channel or stream you watch, and be cautious with APK download pages, shortened links, pop-ups, and permissions.

Fire TV menu names vary slightly by Fire OS version. Use the newer path first.

- From the Fire TV home screen, open Settings.
- Select My Fire TV. On some devices this is called Device, System, or Device & Software.
- Open Developer options.
- Select Install unknown apps.
- Choose Downloader and switch it to ON.
On older Fire OS versions, the setting is instead:
Settings → My Fire TV → Developer options → Apps from Unknown Sources → Turn On
Developer options is missing
Amazon hides Developer options on some Fire TV versions. To reveal it:
- Go to Settings → My Fire TV → About.
- Select your Fire TV device name seven times. Some models label this entry Your TV.
- After the confirmation message appears, return to the previous screen. Developer options should now be visible.
Install Downloader on Fire TV
- From the Fire TV home screen, select the Search icon.
- Search for Downloader.
- Select the Downloader app in the results.
- Choose Get or Download.
- Select Open after installation.
- If Downloader asks for file or storage access, select Allow.
- Dismiss any welcome, update, or privacy prompt by selecting OK when necessary.
If Downloader does not appear under Install unknown apps, install it from the Amazon Appstore first. Then return to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer options → Install unknown apps and enable Downloader.
Install Live Net TV using Downloader
The latest FireStick installation instructions located for this app list the following Downloader code and shortened URL:

These are not verified official Live Net TV developer links. The page that publishes them states that it does not own, operate, resell, or have an affiliation with Live Net TV or its developers. A separate third-party page instructs users to enter https://livenettv.tools, but that site also does not establish an official developer-maintained distribution channel. No verified official direct APK URL was established by the available sources.

- Enter
730116in the URL or search field, or enterbit.ly/fsh-downloads. - Wait for the linked download page to load.
- Under Live TV Apps, select Live Net TV.
- Wait for the APK to download.
- When the Fire TV package installer appears, select Install.
- When installation completes, select Done.
- Downloader will offer to delete the APK file. Select Delete, then select Delete again to confirm.
Deleting the APK removes the installer file and frees storage; it does not uninstall the app.
Open Live Net TV after installation
- Return to the Fire TV home screen.
- Open the app library or Apps & Channels.
- Select Live Net TV.
- If the app asks you to choose a player, the built-in option is reported as Android Player. Other reported choices include MX Player, VLC, and Wuffy Player.
Do not expect the app to appear as a normal Amazon Appstore listing. Sideloaded apps are opened from the Fire TV app library.
Live Net TV currently shows “Could Not Fetch Data”
This is the most important troubleshooting point. The latest FireStick-specific report, dated May 26, 2026, says Live Net TV version 1.8.3 is not working and displays “Could Not Fetch Data.” According to that report:

- Using a VPN does not restore the service.
- Cloning the app does not resolve the failure.
That indicates a service-side or app-side problem rather than a normal Fire TV installation error. Reinstalling the same APK may leave you with the same result.
Some pages advertise Live Net TV version 5.0.1, but that claim is not corroborated by the FireStick-specific report. It should not be treated as a verified current Fire TV release.

Other errors and possible causes
“Unable to Play This Link”
This is an older playback error. Previously suggested steps included opening the app’s Settings, selecting Refresh Live Section, and trying MX Player instead of the built-in player. Those steps may help with an individual dead stream, but they are not a confirmed fix for the current “Could Not Fetch Data” outage.
Channels buffer constantly
Buffering is different from a data-fetch failure. Possible causes include:
- Weak or unstable Wi-Fi
- An overloaded channel source
- Too many apps running in the background
- A stream that works better with another player or quality setting
You can try clearing the app cache, closing unused apps, changing the player or stream, and lowering playback quality. These steps cannot fix a service that is failing to load its channel data.
“App not installed”
Common reported causes include an existing installation with a package conflict, insufficient storage, an incompatible APK, or a damaged download. Try this sequence:
- Uninstall any older Live Net TV installation from Settings → Applications → Manage Installed Applications.
- Delete the downloaded APK in Downloader.
- Restart the Fire TV.
- Check available storage under Settings → My Fire TV → About → Storage, where the exact label may vary by model.
- Download a fresh APK and try the installation again.
If the package is incompatible with your Fire TV hardware or operating system, repeating the installation will not make it compatible.

Should you use a VPN with Live Net TV?
A VPN can change your network route and may be useful for general privacy, but it is not a demonstrated solution for the current Live Net TV data-fetch failure. The latest failure report says the app remains unusable even when a VPN is enabled. Do not purchase a VPN solely on the promise that it will repair this error.
Remove Live Net TV from Fire TV
- Open Settings.
- Select Applications.
- Choose Manage Installed Applications.
- Select Live Net TV.
- Choose Uninstall, then confirm.
You can also clear the app’s data and cache from the same application-information screen before uninstalling it.
Safety and reliability considerations
Live Net TV is distributed outside the Amazon Appstore, and the available download pages are third-party sources. Before installing any sideloaded APK:
- Do not assume a Downloader code is official because it is short or widely reposted.
- Do not install additional apps or browser extensions merely because a download page recommends them.
- Review the permissions requested by the APK.
- Keep Fire OS updated and remove the app if it behaves unexpectedly.
- Use only legal streams and services available in your region.

Is Live Net TV working on Firestick now?
The latest FireStick-specific report available says no. Live Net TV version 1.8.3 reportedly shows “Could Not Fetch Data” as of May 26, 2026. Retry, cloning, and using a VPN reportedly do not fix it.

What is the official Live Net TV Downloader code?
No official developer code was verified. A third-party installation page lists 730116 and bit.ly/fsh-downloads, but that page disclaims affiliation with Live Net TV and its developers.
Why can’t I find Install unknown apps on Fire TV?
On some Fire TV devices, Developer options is hidden. Go to Settings → My Fire TV → About and select the device name seven times. Then return to My Fire TV and look for Developer options.
Does a VPN fix Live Net TV?
Not according to the latest available FireStick-specific report. It says the current “Could Not Fetch Data” failure continues even when a VPN is used.
