On a desktop, open Microsoft Edge Settings and go to Passwords and autofill, then choose Microsoft Password Manager or Passwords to find saved entries. On mobile, check Settings > Passwords and autofill or Settings > Saved info > Passwords. Edge may ask you to authenticate with your device before showing or filling a saved password.
View a saved password on desktop
- Open Microsoft Edge and select Settings and more (…), or press Alt+F.
- Select Settings.
- Open Passwords and autofill and choose Microsoft Password Manager or Passwords. Depending on the interface, the passwords may also appear under Profiles > Passwords in a Saved passwords section.
- Find and select the saved website or account.
- If Edge asks, authenticate using the device sign-in prompt, such as Windows Hello, macOS Touch ID, or another operating-system sign-in method.
View a saved password on mobile
- Open Edge on your phone and go to Settings.
- Look for password controls under Passwords and autofill or Saved info > Passwords. The labels may vary by version.
- Find and select the saved entry, then follow any device-authentication prompt.
If a saved password is missing
First check that Edge is using the profile and Microsoft account where the password was saved. Then check whether password sync is enabled for that profile. Signed-in Edge can sync passwords across devices when password sync is turned on. If the entry still does not appear, it may have been saved in another browser or password manager, or may never have been saved in Edge.
Viewing, syncing, and exporting are different
Viewing opens an entry saved in the current Edge profile. Sync can make saved passwords available on other devices signed in to Edge when password sync is enabled. Export creates a separate CSV file; it is not needed just to view a password.
Desktop Edge can export saved passwords as a CSV, but Microsoft warns that “Passwords exported to a CSV are not protected and will be visible to anyone who can see the exported file.” Delete the file permanently after using it. Edge for Android and iOS does not support password export.

What happened to Edge Wallet?
Microsoft has retired Wallet, but saved passwords remain accessible in Edge’s password settings. Wallet Memberships are no longer accessible.

Why does Edge ask for device authentication?
Edge may require device sign-in before revealing or filling a saved password. Follow the prompt, such as Windows Hello, Touch ID, or the operating-system sign-in method.
Why is a password missing on another device?
Check that the other device uses the profile and Microsoft account where the password was saved, and confirm that password sync is enabled for that profile.

Can I export saved passwords from Edge on my phone?
No. Microsoft says password export is not supported in Edge for Android or iOS. Desktop Edge can export passwords as a CSV, which is unprotected and should be permanently deleted after use.
