The Password Game is Neal.fun’s cumulative password puzzle: you build one password that must satisfy 35 rules, with each new rule staying active. There is no universal final answer because some requirements vary by run, date, or time. Play the official game at Neal.fun.

This guide covers the rule sequence, dynamic answers, common traps, and how to prepare for the final timed re-entry. PCGamesN lists the original Neal.fun version as having 35 rules; the often-repeated 22-rule count describes a different site or variant.

How many rules are in The Password Game?

The original Neal.fun game has 35 cumulative rules, according to PCGamesN’s rule guide. When a new rule appears, earlier requirements still apply, so an edit that fixes one rule can break another.

The Password Game rules and what to enter

The table summarizes the 35-rule Neal.fun sequence. Dynamic answers must be taken from your own game.

Important answers and mechanics

Rule 5 counts individual digits

The game adds digits separately, not as whole numbers: 19 contributes 1 + 9, or 10. The guide from Position Is Everything notes that a fragment such as 997 contributes 25 by itself. Later additions can change the total, so recheck it after inserting numeric requirements.

Roman numerals can hide inside ordinary text

The characters I, V, X, L, C, D, and M can count wherever they appear, including inside words, sponsor names, country names, or URLs. Position Is Everything describes VII and V as a common construction for Rule 9 because 7 multiplied by 5 equals 35, but it works only if no other Roman-numeral characters alter the product. Rule 29 also requires every such character to use Times New Roman.

CAPTCHA and Wordle are run-specific

Copy the CAPTCHA exactly, including case. Check easily confused characters such as 0 and O, 1, I, and l, as well as spaces, dashes, quotation marks, and copied line breaks. Wordle is date-sensitive; an archived answer or one from a different time zone may not match your run, as Position Is Everything explains.

The moon and country answers are not fixed

The moon-phase emoji changes over time. Rule 14 is an image-identification task: enter the country represented by your game’s clue or image, not a country copied from another player’s run.

Use the displayed chess position

Rule 16 requires the best move for the chessboard shown in your game, written in algebraic chess notation. The position determines the answer, so a move from a different screenshot may not work.

Paul must be maintained

Rule 17 concerns Paul before he hatches. After hatching, Rule 23 requires three worm emojis per minute. PCGamesN’s rule guide describes this continuing feeding requirement; keep checking it as you work through the remaining rules.

Element symbols affect more than Rule 12

Rule 12 asks for a two-letter element symbol. Rule 18 then checks element symbols across the password and requires their atomic numbers to total 200. Ordinary text can introduce additional element-symbol matches, so recalculate after major edits.

A practical order for solving the game

  1. Start with a controlled password. Add the basic length, digit, uppercase letter, special character, month, and Roman numeral without unnecessary text.
  2. Set the digit sum deliberately. Make the digits total 25, then recheck after every later numeric addition.
  3. Record generated requirements. Note the sponsor, CAPTCHA, Wordle answer, moon emoji, country, chess move, color code, YouTube duration, and current time shown in your run.
  4. Insert dynamic text carefully. After each addition, check Roman numerals, element symbols, the digit sum, and exact spelling.
  5. Add the leap year and chess move. Use a valid leap year and the move for the displayed board.
  6. Protect Paul. Include the requested egg/chicken content, then maintain the worm requirement after he hatches.
  7. Apply formatting after the text is stable. Bold every vowel, balance italic and bold characters, use Wingdings for at least 30%, format Roman numerals in Times New Roman, and set digit sizes to their squares.
  8. Choose the Rule 25 sacrifice late. Check the remaining sponsor, country, affirmation, URL, time, Wordle answer, and other text before choosing the two prohibited letters.
  9. Resolve the final length constraints together. Rule 32’s included character count changes the total length, while Rule 33 requires a prime total. Iterate until the included count matches the actual length and that length is prime.
  10. Finish with the current time. Rule 35 is time-dependent, so avoid unnecessary delays once the password is otherwise valid.

Why a copy-and-paste final password usually fails

There is no universal final password. CAPTCHA text, Wordle answer, moon phase, country image, chess position, YouTube duration, and current time can vary by run or date. A password copied from a guide can fail even for the same edition.

Formatting is part of the password state. Plain text that merely looks bold, italic, Wingdings, Times New Roman, or a particular font size may not satisfy the game. Pasting can also introduce unwanted formatting or hidden characters, so inspect the result in the game.

Final confirmation and the 120-second limit

After all 35 rules are satisfied, the game asks whether the password is final. According to PCGamesN’s guide, confirming starts a 120-second period to re-enter the exact password. The second entry must preserve its text and formatting; a failed re-entry resets the run.

Before confirming, verify the digit sum, Roman-numeral product, element total, formatting, prohibited letters, Paul’s food, password length, prime length, and current time. Keep the completed password visible and avoid last-minute edits after the timer starts.

FAQ

What is the final password for The Password Game?

There is no single final password. CAPTCHA text, Wordle, moon phase, country, chess move, YouTube duration, and current time can vary. Build a password for your own game instance.

Does The Password Game have 22 or 35 rules?

The original Neal.fun edition has 35 rules, according to PCGamesN. The 22-rule description refers to a separate site or unofficial variant.

Is there a command to solve The Password Game?

No command syntax is documented. You solve it by entering content in the password field and applying the required formatting.

How do I satisfy the Roman numeral rule?

The relevant characters are I, V, X, L, C, D, and M. Their values must multiply to 35, and they can count inside ordinary words. VII and V are a common combination if no other such characters appear.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Why does my CAPTCHA answer fail when it looks correct?

CAPTCHA input is exact and case-sensitive. Check 0 versus O, 1 versus I or l, punctuation, spaces, dashes, quotation marks, and copied line breaks.

What happens to Paul after Rule 17?

Paul eventually hatches. Rule 23 then requires three worm emojis per minute, so keep feeding him while you continue the run.

How does Rule 32 interact with Rule 33?

Rule 32 requires the password’s current length to appear in the password, while Rule 33 requires the total length to be prime. Adding the length changes the total, so keep adjusting until the number matches the final prime character count.

What happens after I complete all the rules?

After you confirm, PCGamesN reports that you have 120 seconds to re-enter the exact password. An inaccurate re-entry resets the game.

The Bottom Line

The reliable way to beat The Password Game is to solve its cumulative rules rather than search for a permanent copy-paste password. Track generated answers, count individual digits, watch for accidental Roman numerals and element symbols, delay the irreversible letter sacrifice, apply formatting in the game, and prepare to re-enter the finished password within the 120-second limit.
