To stop someone from joining, open the experience’s Servers section, use the three-dot Menu beside your private server, and select Configure. Then change the allowed-player or access-restriction settings available there. Roblox’s private-server support documentation does not provide a verified per-user removal button or command.
How to remove access to a Roblox private server
- Open the Roblox experience that contains the private server.
- Scroll down to the Servers section.
- Find your private server.
- Click the three-dot Menu button at the far right.
- Select Configure.
- Change the server’s allowed-player or access settings so the unwanted player can no longer join.
The exact controls shown can vary with Roblox’s interface and account settings. Roblox officially documents options to control who can play, allow or disallow people from your friends list, create a server link, and enable access restrictions. Its private-server FAQ says a server can support up to 50 users.
What to change in Configure

Roblox says changes to private-server access restrictions apply to all existing and future private servers. They do not change the server’s renewal price.

Can you remove one specific person from the server?
Roblox’s current private-server support documentation does not describe a verified per-user Remove, Kick, or Ban button. It also does not give owners a documented procedure for deleting one named player from a private-server permission list.
That means you should not expect to find a guaranteed button labelled Remove member in the owner controls. If the available access settings cannot exclude one particular person while allowing everyone else to remain, the documented option is to tighten the server’s access rules.
Blocking a player is not the same as removing private-server access
You can block a Roblox user, but Roblox documents blocking as a communication and relationship control—not as private-server removal. Blocking removes the friendship or follow relationship and prevents direct messages, friend requests, experience invites, and party invites. Roblox does not state that blocking ejects someone from an existing private server or revokes that server’s access permission.
How to block the user anyway
From the player’s profile:
- Open the user’s Roblox profile.
- Click the three dots in the upper-right corner.
- Select Block User.
While inside an experience, Roblox also documents these routes:

- Open the player list, select the user, and choose Block.
- Press Esc, open People, select the user, choose Block, and confirm.
Use blocking if you want to stop contact and invitations, but do not treat it as a documented replacement for changing the private server’s access settings.

Adjust your Roblox privacy settings
Account privacy settings can affect who can see the experience you are playing and who can join. To review them, use:
Settings → Privacy & content restrictions → Visibility & private servers → Visibility
The available choices depend on the account’s age and region. Roblox says that, by default, users under 13 can join only private servers owned by friends, and only friends can join their private servers. Users aged 13 and older can restrict who may add them to private servers.

The documented choices are Connections or Off. This can restrict private-server access for the account, but it is not a per-server kick control and does not identify one player for removal.
There is no official /kick command
Roblox’s official private-server procedure is handled through the website or app interface. Its current support documentation does not specify a chat command, slash command, admin command, or console command for removing a person from a private server.
Claims such as /kick username are not a standard Roblox private-server solution. An individual experience may include its own programmed admin system, but that would be an experience-specific feature—not an official Roblox private-server command—and it may require separate permissions or game passes.
Do not cancel the server if you only want to remove a player
Canceling a private-server subscription does not remove players immediately. It only stops the next renewal. The server remains usable until the already-paid period ends.
To cancel, open the experience’s Servers section, click the server’s three-dot Menu, choose Cancel, review the cancellation, and select Yes, cancel. You can also open Configure and click the green Active status icon beside Subscription Status. Check the Expiration Date on the configuration page.

If Roblox cannot collect enough Robux on the renewal date, the server expires and can no longer be used. You can purchase a new server later. Neither cancellation nor renewal failure is an immediate, targeted way to remove one person.
If you cannot create another private server
Roblox says private-server creation can fail if you already have a free private server for that same experience or have reached the limit of active free private servers. The documented remedy is to deactivate the existing free private server before creating another one.
On the experience page, look for Private Servers, then Create Private Server and Buy Now. Roblox says you can configure the server immediately after purchase or return to configure it later.

What is the Roblox command to remove someone from a private server?
