The current India ranking from 91mobiles puts Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 first, MediaTek Dimensity 9500 second, and Samsung Exynos 2600 third. That is a benchmark-led snapshot, not a universal verdict on which phone to buy: scores are tied to tested devices, and sustained gaming, heat, battery life, price, software, and availability can change the practical choice.

| Position in 91mobiles list | Processor | AnTuTu score shown | Geekbench scores shown |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 | 4,033,382 | 3,733 / 11,407 |
| 2 | MediaTek Dimensity 9500 | 3,568,720 | 3,452 / 10,279 |
| 3 | Samsung Exynos 2600 | 3,113,347 | 3,220 / 11,249 |
These are the values displayed on 91mobiles’ ranking page, not independently reproduced results. The page’s method favors the highest AnTuTu result found for any device using a chip, so the table should be read as that publisher’s ranking snapshot rather than a controlled, same-phone comparison.

How to read processor benchmark scores
AnTuTu rankings are handset results
AnTuTu’s official smartphone ranking is a device ranking, not a list of abstract chip scores. Its page is labeled Benchmark Rankings V11 and marked updated 2026.8, and lists handset names with total scores. A phone’s cooling, power limits, software, and configuration influence what it achieves, so a score for one handset should not be treated as a guaranteed result for every phone with the same SoC. View the AnTuTu Smartphone Performance Ranking for its device-level context.
Geekbench scores also depend on the tested device
Geekbench’s official mobile chart lists devices and chips together and says higher scores are better, with double the score indicating double the performance. Its published results are still tied to device records. Consult the Geekbench Mobile Benchmarks chart and compare like with like rather than assuming every phone on a chip will match the listed result.

Do not combine numbers from different test sources
A separate 91mobiles performance-testing article, updated 1 April 2026, reports 39,32,397 AnTuTu for Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and 35,36,552 for Dimensity 9500—different values from the ranking table above. That article describes device testing under set conditions, while the ranking page uses the highest score achieved by any device running a SoC. Keep each source’s figures together and retain its date and method; mixing scores into one table would imply a common protocol that the sources do not establish. The testing article is at 91mobiles’ 2026 chipset performance comparison.
Which processor is best for gaming or everyday use?
A processor’s rank is a useful starting point, but it cannot settle these questions by itself. A separate India-focused 2026 review says routine performance among leading flagship families, including Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Dimensity 9500, and Apple A19 Pro phones, is effectively equal. It evaluates gaming frame rates, thermal rise, and battery endurance as well as benchmark performance, and identifies the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy as its India performance leader. That is a phone-level assessment, not proof that every handset using the same chip will sustain identical performance or offer the best value. See 91mobiles’ best processor phones in India review.

For gaming, look for frame rates over a longer session, not only a short peak result. Heat buildup and power management can affect sustained performance; battery endurance also matters if you play away from a charger. For everyday tasks, several flagship chips may feel similarly responsive, making the phone’s software, features, price, and availability more decisive than small benchmark differences.

- Confirm the exact phone and chip. Check the India model and configuration being sold; regional variants may differ, and chipset rankings do not establish current store stock.
- Compare benchmark context. Note the benchmark version, device tested, and test date. Compare single-core results with single-core results and multi-core with multi-core, rather than treating a total score as a complete performance profile.
- Check sustained gaming performance. Look for frame-rate behavior over time and thermal results from the actual phone, not just its processor family.
- Weigh battery life and software. Consider endurance, operating-system support, useful features, and the phone’s overall experience alongside peak speed.
- Compare price and local availability. A higher-ranked chip does not automatically make a handset the better purchase if the phone costs more or is difficult to obtain in India.
The ranking is best used to identify leading chip families, then narrow the decision using reliable tests of the specific phone you intend to buy.
