Dazz is an enterprise SaaS platform designed to connect security findings from existing detection tools to the code, cloud resources, deployments and teams that can fix them. Its goal is to reduce duplicate alerts, help security teams decide which issues pose the greatest risk, and route remediation toward the underlying cause. Dazz’s materials describe this approach; they do not establish that suggested fixes are always correct or safe to apply without human review.

What Dazz does

Dazz positions itself as a remediation layer for security and development teams, not as a consumer security utility. The AWS Marketplace listing describes a platform that aggregates findings from detection technologies, correlates related issues, prioritizes them, traces them to root causes and provides contextual remediation plans across code, cloud, applications and infrastructure. The listing identifies the product as SaaS. AWS Marketplace

In practical terms, the idea is to move beyond a scanner’s isolated alert. A team wants to know whether an issue affects a production workload, where it entered the delivery pipeline, who owns the relevant code or resource, and whether one underlying problem is generating multiple findings.

How the remediation workflow is intended to work

  1. Connect security signals. Dazz’s product materials describe connecting existing security tools and mapping the code-to-cloud pipeline. Older product documentation says integrations use read-only APIs; treat that as a description of those materials, not a confirmed specification for every current integration. Dazz product datasheet
  2. Correlate and deduplicate findings. The platform is designed to group related alerts and distinguish underlying issues from repeated or duplicate reports. That can help teams focus attention, but Dazz’s claims about prioritization are vendor descriptions, not independent validation of ranking accuracy.
  3. Trace issues toward a cause and owner. Dazz says it connects findings with cloud resources, deployment pipelines, artifacts, code and developers. The point is to identify a responsible team and a place to act, rather than merely forward an alert.
  4. Choose a remediation path. Product materials describe contextual guidance and support for remediation actions. The exact available actions and required permissions should be confirmed for the product configuration under consideration.

What Dazz’s AI remediation claims mean

In a May 2024 announcement, Dazz said it was adding AI-driven remediation guidance and automatic code-fix suggestions for container vulnerabilities. The announcement described identifying whether a vulnerability originated in a base image, Dockerfile or JSON file, and said the system used self-contained language models and a customer feedback loop. These are vendor-reported capabilities, not a guarantee that an AI-generated patch is correct, complete or safe for a particular application. Teams should review suggested changes, test them in their normal development process and retain approval controls appropriate to their risk.

Where Dazz may help security and development teams

Dazz’s product materials frame the platform around questions that are difficult to answer from a severity score alone: which vulnerability to handle first, whether a finding is exploitable in production, who owns a vulnerable artifact, and whether a fix addresses the root cause or only one symptom. Its datasheet also asks whether there are exploitable secrets in code in production, shadow pipelines, and false-positive or duplicate alerts. Those are useful evaluation questions; the materials do not independently establish how accurately the product answers them in every environment.

A May 3, 2024 Dazz announcement quoted Brian Miller, CISO of Healthfirst, saying that AI and automation could help teams reduce tens of thousands of incidents to the 10 that present the most business risk. This is an attributed customer statement, not an independently validated performance benchmark. Dazz announcement quoting Healthfirst

A Dazz datasheet also reports that an unnamed Fortune 500 financial customer fixed “more than 3,000 containers in four days” during the 2021 Log4j incident. That is a vendor-published customer anecdote tied to that incident, not an expected result for other organizations. Dazz product datasheet

Integrations and evaluation criteria

CrowdStrike has described an integration with Dazz for Falcon Cloud Security that uses CrowdStrike cloud threat data and provides remediation guidance across the code-to-cloud landscape. Confirm that this integration remains available and suits your deployment before treating it as a current capability. CrowdStrike integration announcement

Before evaluating Dazz or another remediation platform, ask vendors and your own teams to verify the following:

  • Integration and access: Which source-control, CI/CD, cloud and detection tools are supported? What data and permissions does each connection require? Older Dazz materials describe read-only API integrations, but confirm current access requirements.
  • Traceability: Can the platform connect a finding to the affected resource, pipeline, artifact, code location and responsible owner?
  • Prioritization: Does ranking account for production exposure, exploitability or business impact, rather than relying only on a scanner’s severity label?
  • Fix control: Are recommendations advisory or automated? Where do changes go, and how do developers review, test and approve them?
  • Governance and terms: What reporting, access controls, deployment arrangements and contract scope are included? Ask for pricing tailored to your environment.

Availability, ownership and pricing

AWS Marketplace lists Dazz Unified Remediation Platform as SaaS. Its listing displays a 12-month contract tier for environments of up to 1,000 cloud resources at $400,000, and says pricing depends on contract duration and terms. This is a displayed listing price, not a universal quote; the listing directs buyers to contact Dazz about custom pricing and terms. Check the listing and contract details before making a procurement decision. AWS Marketplace listing

Dazz’s LinkedIn company page labels the company “acquired by Wiz,” and Greylock marks its status as acquired. The available sources do not establish the post-acquisition standalone roadmap or whether every former Dazz capability remains available under the same name. The AWS Marketplace listing alone does not resolve product continuity. Dazz on LinkedIn · Greylock’s Dazz profile
