The BIGTREETECH SKR Pico V1.0 is a compact 3D-printer control board designed for the Voron V0 and V0.1. It uses an RP2040 microcontroller, integrates five TMC2209 stepper drivers, and can pair with a Raspberry Pi or BTT Pi in a Klipper setup. BIGTREETECH presents it as a board for that printer family—not a universal drop-in replacement for other printers.

What is the SKR Pico?

The SKR Pico is the printer-side control board in BIGTREETECH’s Voron V0 solution. The manufacturer describes the V1.0 board as customized for the Voron V0 and as a newer version for the V0 and V0.1. Its layout is intended to suit the space constraints of those machines, where the board is mounted longitudinally. That is the manufacturer’s design description, not independent fit testing. BIGTREETECH SKR Pico V1.0 product page

A controller board manages printer components such as motors and other connected hardware. The SKR Pico is distinct from a Raspberry Pi-class computer: in the Klipper context presented by BIGTREETECH, the Pico is the custom motherboard, while a Pi or BTT Pi can provide the host-computer role.

Does the SKR Pico have an RP2040?

Yes. BIGTREETECH identifies a Raspberry Pi ARM Cortex-M0+ MCU on the board. The product page renders the part number as “PR2040”; the conventional designation is RP2040. The page also identifies USB Type-C as a communication interface for the main control computer. BIGTREETECH product description

Does the SKR Pico need a Raspberry Pi?

BIGTREETECH says the SKR Pico can pair with a Raspberry Pi or BTT Pi. Its Voron V0 solution is presented in a Klipper context, with the SKR Pico serving as the printer motherboard and the Pi-class computer as a separate host. The manufacturer also lists a TFT35 SPI as a possible screen; it is not presented as a requirement. BIGTREETECH product-solution page

BTT Pi V1.2 is a separate single-board computer that BIGTREETCH describes for 3D printing. Which host, screen, and software configuration to use depends on the build; the product descriptions do not establish one mandatory combination. Check the current setup instructions for the specific hardware and firmware you plan to use. BIGTREETECH product-solution page

Is the SKR Pico compatible with printers other than the Voron V0?

The official product material establishes the Voron V0/V0.1 as its design target, not blanket compatibility with other printers. A different machine may require a different board footprint, wiring arrangement, voltage or current capacity, input/output selection, or firmware configuration. The cited product pages do not supply enough electrical limits or wiring detail to confirm compatibility for a particular alternative printer.

Before buying or installing it for another machine, verify the exact board revision and compare its physical fit and electrical and firmware requirements with the printer. BIGTREETECH links to an official SKR-Pico repository; consult the current files for the relevant revision rather than relying on a generic wiring assumption.
