WD My Cloud EX2 Ultra 仍可作为家庭或小型办公室的双盘位本地存储设备考虑，但购买前最重要的是确认它运行的是 OS 5 还是已经停止支持的 OS 3。它提供 RAID 1、千兆以太网和 USB 扩展，硬盘也可更换；不过，WD 的近期固件公告不等于每台设备已更新，历史产品页中的媒体和远程功能也不应视为当前服务保证。
WD My Cloud EX2 Ultra 的主要规格是什么？
EX2 Ultra 是一款双盘位 NAS。Western Digital 的型号比较表列出默认 RAID 1、EXT4 文件系统、1 GB 内存、两个 USB 3.0 端口和一个以太网端口。WD 的 2017 年产品概览进一步列出 Marvell Armada 385 1.3 GHz 双核处理器、1 GB DDR3 内存、千兆以太网以及文件共享、电脑同步、媒体串流、Plex、备份、256 位 AES 卷加密和监控摄像头等宣传功能。后面这些属于厂商当时的功能描述，不是当前应用或服务仍可用的保证。
WD 提醒，型号比较表不一定涵盖所有功能，也可能没有反映固件或容量变化。现有资料没有独立实测数据，因此不能据此给出实际传输速度、噪声、功耗或可靠性结论。
RAID 选项如何影响容量和数据保护？
除默认 RAID 1 外，WD 产品概览还列出 RAID 0、JBOD 和 spanning。具体可用容量取决于硬盘容量及所选配置；四种模式在容量利用、冗余和故障处理上的取舍不同。

无论选哪种模式，重要文件都应另有独立备份，例如另一处存储副本；RAID 不能替代备份。
先检查固件：OS 3 与 OS 5 的差别
购买二手设备或重新启用闲置设备时，先确认机身型号和当前固件。WD 的 OS 5 升级支持表列出 My Cloud EX2 Ultra 型号系列 WDBVBZ*，因此该系列具备升级资格，但不能据此认定某台设备已经升级。

WD 于 2026 年 3 月 24 日发布 OS 5 固件 5.33.102 公告，称分阶段推送，并提供 EX2 Ultra 下载链接。该公告只能说明当时发布了该版本，不能证明所有设备均已收到，也不能证明它仍是最新版本。检查当前版本并按 WD 支持页面的官方步骤更新。
仍运行 OS 3 的设备应如何处理？
WD 于 2022 年 4 月 15 日结束 OS 3 支持。WD 支持页说明，仍使用 OS 3 的设备在该日期后不再获得远程访问、安全更新或技术支持；EX2 Ultra 的 OS 3 最终固件为 2.42.115，发布日期为 2022 年 1 月 18 日。此警告针对仍停留在 OS 3 的设备，并不表示所有 EX2 Ultra 都失去远程访问能力，因为该型号系列列入 OS 5 升级支持表。

WD 对 OS 3 设备的建议是先备份数据、关闭远程访问、断开互联网连接，并使用强且独特的本地设备密码。不要把旧系统的远程访问当作仍受安全维护的服务。
EX2 Ultra 支持哪些替换硬盘？
WD 兼容矩阵于 2026 年 7 月 21 日更新，列出多款适用于 EX2 Ultra 的 WD Red、Red Plus、Red Pro 和 Purple 硬盘。矩阵说明 CMR 与 SMR 硬盘均受支持，但原生 4Kn 扇区格式不支持；部分高级格式硬盘支持 512e。兼容性应以完整型号为准，不能只凭容量或“NAS 硬盘”类别判断。

WD 支持页列出的外接 USB 文件系统包括 NTFS、HFS+、FAT32 和 exFAT。使用 exFAT 时，设备固件须为 2.21.111 或更高版本；带有 EFI System Partition 的 exFAT 卷不受支持。接入外置盘前，确认文件系统与固件条件相符；这项兼容信息并未核实任何具体外置硬盘型号。

- 需要已验证的速度、噪声、功耗、恢复时间或长期可靠性数据；现有资料没有提供独立实测。
- 需要较高可用容量，却把 RAID 1 镜像误当成完整数据备份。
购买或重新启用前的检查清单
- 查看机身型号，确认属于 WD OS 5 升级支持表中的 WDBVBZ* 系列。
- 查看当前操作系统和固件版本；如果仍是 OS 3，先按 WD 建议备份、关闭远程访问并断开互联网。
- 若设备可升级，查阅 WD 支持页面并依照官方步骤更新；不要仅凭 5.33.102 公告推定它是最新版本。
- 选硬盘时按完整型号核对兼容矩阵，特别留意原生 4Kn 不支持及具体型号是否标注 512e。
- 根据容量和单盘故障风险选择 RAID 模式，并为重要文件安排独立备份。
- 使用 USB 外接盘时，检查文件系统；exFAT 还需固件 2.21.111 或更高版本，且不能含 EFI System Partition。
