Samsung’s S26 series launched in March 2026; its US specifications confirm the leaked screen sizes, battery capacities and core camera layouts, while also clarifying charging, chipset and other model differences.
What the Galaxy S26 specs leak claimed
In a report dated December 1, 2025, Android Authority described a specification sheet shared by leaker UniverseIce. The report said the base S26 would have a 6.3-inch FHD+ display, a 4,300mAh battery and a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or Exynos 2600 depending on region. It also said the phone would retain 50MP main, 12MP ultrawide and 10MP 3x telephoto rear cameras.
For the S26+, the leak pointed to a 6.7-inch QHD display and 4,900mAh battery. For the Ultra, it listed a 6.9-inch QHD display, a 200MP/50MP/10MP/50MP rear-camera arrangement and possible 60W wired charging. These were reported leak claims, not official Samsung specifications.
What Samsung confirmed after launch
Samsung’s US specification table confirms the core display sizes, battery capacities and camera-resolution layouts described in the leak. It also specifies the released models’ charging rates and lists the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy in all three US models. Samsung warns that specifications and availability may vary by market, so the US details below should not be assumed to apply everywhere.

Display diagonals are Samsung’s full-rectangle measurements; rounded corners and the camera cutout affect the usable display area. Samsung labels the battery figures as typical capacities. Charging rates are stated capabilities, not a promise of a fixed charging time; actual results depend on conditions. Samsung’s US Galaxy S26 specifications provide the model details, while its 2026 launch announcement states US starting prices and general availability.
How the three models differ in practice
Galaxy S26: the smaller option
The standard S26 has the smallest display and lowest weight of the three. It keeps the same stated rear-camera resolution arrangement as the S26+, but has a smaller battery and lower wired-charging rating. Samsung’s US table lists Bluetooth 5.4 and sub-6 5G for this model.

Galaxy S26+: a larger screen without the Ultra camera array
The S26+ moves up to a 6.7-inch QHD+ display and 4,900mAh typical battery. Its listed rear cameras match the standard S26 by resolution and zoom configuration; its distinguishing hardware trade-offs in this comparison are its larger size, 45W wired charging and higher weight. Samsung’s US table lists Bluetooth 6.0 and sub-6/mmWave 5G.
Galaxy S26 Ultra: the four-camera model
The Ultra adds a 200MP wide camera and a 50MP 5x telephoto camera to the 50MP ultrawide and 10MP 3x telephoto cameras. It also has the largest display and battery, the highest stated wired-charging capability and the greatest weight. Megapixel counts alone do not establish which phone takes better photos.

Samsung describes the Ultra’s built-in Privacy Display as a feature that can limit side-angle visibility when enabled, with configurable uses such as entering sensitive information or opening selected apps. This is an integrated display function, not a requirement to apply a privacy film; the description is Samsung’s, not an independent test result.
Which leak details matched the released phones?
- Screen sizes: The leak’s 6.3-inch, 6.7-inch and 6.9-inch figures match Samsung’s US-listed diagonal sizes for the S26, S26+ and Ultra.
- Battery capacities: The leak’s 4,300mAh base-model and 4,900mAh Plus figures match Samsung’s typical-capacity listings. The Ultra’s listed typical capacity is 5,000mAh.
- Camera layouts: Samsung lists the same three rear-camera resolutions and zoom roles for the S26 and S26+ that the leak described for the base model. The Ultra’s released setup has the stated 200MP, 50MP, 10MP and 50MP cameras.
- Ultra charging: The leak’s possible 60W charging became an official “up to 60W” rating for the Ultra. The S26 and S26+ are listed at 25W and 45W, respectively.
- Chipset: The leak anticipated Snapdragon or Exynos variants by region. Samsung’s US table lists Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy for all three models; that US listing does not establish the processor used in every market.
Software, connectivity and dimensions
Samsung’s US specifications list Android 16, One UI 8.5 and IP68 for all three models. The same table lists Wi-Fi 7 across the series. It distinguishes the standard S26’s Bluetooth 5.4 and sub-6 5G listing from the Plus and Ultra’s Bluetooth 6.0 and sub-6/mmWave listings. Check the specification page for the market where you plan to buy, since Samsung says regional specifications and availability can differ.

Samsung’s corporate interim report independently identifies the series as a March 2026 release and gives these dimensions: S26, 149.6 × 71.7 × 7.2 mm; S26+, 158.4 × 75.8 × 7.3 mm; and Ultra, 163.6 × 78.1 × 7.9 mm. It also lists weights of 167 g, 190 g and 214 g, respectively. The report is an official corporate cross-check; retail specifications for a specific market remain the better reference for local variants.
