To download Paramount+ on a compatible Samsung Smart TV, open Home, go to Search or Apps, find Paramount+, select Install, then choose Open. Paramount+ supports most Samsung Smart TVs from model year 2017 onward that run Tizen, but availability can vary by model, country, and plan. Check Paramount+ device support if you cannot find the app.
Check whether your Samsung TV supports Paramount+
Paramount+ says the app works on most Samsung Smart TVs from 2017 onward that run Tizen. “Most” matters: the year alone does not guarantee compatibility. Availability also depends on the country where you subscribed and your plan. Check the TV’s Apps store and the Paramount+ supported devices page for your situation.
What you need before installing
- An internet connection for the TV.
- A Samsung account signed in on the TV. Samsung says, “A Samsung account is required to access the app store.” See Samsung’s app-install guidance.
How to install Paramount+ on a Samsung Smart TV
- Press the Home button on the Samsung remote. Open Search or Apps. The layout and labels can differ by model and software version.
- Search for Paramount+.
- Select the Paramount+ app, then choose Install.
- When installation finishes, select Open to launch it.
This follows Samsung’s app installation instructions. If the app asks you to sign in or activate the TV, follow the prompts displayed in the app.

- Model or operating system: Confirm that your TV is a supported Samsung Smart TV model from 2017 onward running Tizen. Paramount+ describes support as covering “most” sets, not every one.
- Country or plan: Paramount+ availability depends on the country where you subscribed and your plan. The app may not be offered for your combination.
- Samsung account: Sign in to your Samsung account, which is required to access the app store.
- Internet connection: Check that the TV is online, then reopen Apps and search again.
- TV software: Check for available software updates. Samsung notes that app availability and menu names can vary by model, software, and region; see its support instructions.
If Paramount+ still does not appear after these checks, the TV may not be supported in your location. A compatible streaming device can be an alternative; Paramount+ lists Fire TV devices among its supported options. Verify the exact device model and regional service availability on the official device list before buying.
Fix installation or app problems
The app will not install or update
Check the TV’s internet connection and available software updates. If an app update fails, Samsung advises updating the TV software; insufficient storage can also prevent updates. If storage is the issue, remove unused apps only as needed to make room. See Samsung’s guidance for updating apps.

Paramount+ is slow or unresponsive
Try basic troubleshooting first, such as closing and reopening the app and checking the connection. Samsung’s later-stage options include reinstalling the app or resetting Smart Hub. A Smart Hub reset removes downloaded apps and accounts stored on the TV, so use it only if simpler steps have not helped. Samsung explains the reset and app troubleshooting options here.
