This blocks unsaved callers broadly—not just spam—so a legitimate first-time caller may be blocked too.
Turn on unknown-call blocking
-
Open the Phone app.
-
Tap More options (the three-dot menu), then tap Settings.
-
Tap Block numbers.
-
Switch on Block calls from unknown numbers.
The setting’s name and availability can vary by Galaxy model, software version, and carrier. Samsung’s support pages describe the path above; if you do not see it, check for a software update and consult support for your specific model and region. What “unknown numbers” means
This setting blocks calls from numbers that are not saved in your contacts. It is not a spam-only filter: an unsaved delivery driver, medical office, school, or other legitimate caller may be blocked. Samsung France also describes the setting as affecting calls from numbers not saved in contacts, including unknown or hidden numbers. The word “unknown” should not be read as referring only to calls with hidden caller ID. Samsung France: Comment configurer les paramètres d’appel sur Samsung Galaxy

Block an individual number
If one caller is the problem, block that number rather than all unsaved callers. Go to Phone > More options > Settings > Block numbers and add the number, or block it from the Phone app’s Recents list. This leaves other unsaved numbers outside that individual block. Use Smart Call spam protection
Smart Call is separate from unknown-number blocking. Where supported, it can identify numbers and provide options to report or block spam and scam calls. Samsung’s instructions describe a separate Caller ID and spam protection setting; depending on availability, it can block all calls identified as spam or scams, or only high-risk scam calls. Smart Call is not available on every carrier or model. Samsung: Block spam calls with Smart Call on your Galaxy phone

The phone setting does not establish that voicemail is blocked. Samsung advises contacting your carrier if you want to block voicemail from specific callers. Ask the carrier what options apply to your line; do not assume device call blocking also stops voicemail. Samsung support: blocked numbers and voicemail
