Apple began iPhone 17 availability on Friday, September 19, 2025, including in the United States. Availability in 22 additional countries and regions began September 26, 2025. Both dates have passed; to find out whether a nearby retailer has a particular model in stock now, check that retailer’s live inventory.
iPhone 17 store availability dates
Apple announced that preorders would open September 12, 2025, followed by availability on September 19 in more than 63 countries and regions. The United States was among the first-wave markets. Apple said availability would begin September 26 in 22 additional countries and regions. Apple’s September 9, 2025 announcement lists the launch dates and markets.
In a September 11 retail announcement, Apple said the new iPhone models would be available in stores worldwide starting September 19. Customers could order online or at Apple Store locations, with home delivery or pickup at a local Apple Store. Those were launch purchase options, not a promise of current stock. Apple’s retail announcement describes them.
How to check whether an iPhone 17 is in stock now
The launch announcements establish when sales began, but not what a particular store has available today. Check the retailer’s product listing or contact the store directly, selecting the capacity and finish you want. For an Apple Store purchase, check Apple’s current online availability and pickup options for your location.
