ASUS ProArt X870E-Creator WiFi: for connectivity-focused builds
ASUS lists two USB4 ports, 10 Gb and 2.5 Gb Ethernet, seven USB 10Gbps ports, and one USB 20Gbps Type-C port. That combination makes it a candidate for a workstation or creator system that needs fast external connections or more than one wired network speed. The specifications establish the available connections, not improved performance in any particular workflow. ASRock X870E Taichi: for a premium enthusiast feature set
ASRock lists support for AM5 Ryzen 7000, 8000, and 9000 processor families, PCIe Gen5 graphics and M.2, and two USB4 ports. Those are useful features to consider in a high-end build, but the listed specifications do not establish that the Taichi is faster or a better value than other X870E boards. MSI X870E Gaming Plus WiFi: for a specified three-slot M.2 layout
MSI lists three M.2 slots: one CPU-sourced PCIe 5.0 x4 slot and two chipset-sourced PCIe 4.0 x4 slots. MSI also notes that processor choice affects supported link speed. If you intend to populate multiple drives or use expansion cards, consult the manual for lane sharing and slot behavior with your chosen CPU rather than assuming every connection can operate at its listed maximum simultaneously. Its Godlike X Edition table lists five onboard M.2 slots plus two positions through an adapter, with listed prices of $1,299.99 and £1,249.99; the Godlike is E-ATX. Check compatibility before you buy
- Confirm the processor: Use the motherboard maker’s CPU support list to verify your exact Ryzen model and any required BIOS version. The Taichi’s listed family support, for example, covers Ryzen 7000, 8000, and 9000, but still check the specific CPU entry.
