Its value depends on the local price and configuration, though, and Samsung’s published display-resolution and microSD-capacity figures conflict across official pages. This is a specification-led review, not a hands-on performance or battery test.
What the Galaxy Tab S10 FE offers
The Tab S10 FE is a 10.9-inch Android tablet with an included S Pen. Samsung positions it for entertainment, note-taking and productivity, and its feature set is aimed at people who want pen input without stepping up to a premium Galaxy Tab model. The other notable extras are a 90Hz LCD, expandable storage and IP68-rated protection.
Samsung’s U.K. launch announcement set a starting price of £499 RRP when the tablet launched on April 2, 2025. That is historical U.K. launch pricing, not a current offer or a guide to prices in other regions. Current prices, stock, storage configurations and Wi-Fi or 5G availability vary; check the exact local model before buying.
Specifications and what they mean

Samsung advertises up to 800 nits of outdoor brightness in High Brightness Mode. That is a manufacturer specification, not a measurement of visibility in particular conditions. The display-resolution discrepancy is especially worth checking if sharpness is a deciding factor: Samsung’s own exact U.S. SKU page and series comparison do not agree.

Is the included S Pen useful?
The in-box S Pen gives the tablet a ready-made option for handwritten notes, marking up documents and sketching without requiring a separate pen purchase. Samsung also advertises Samsung Notes handwriting features and Math Solver. Available software features can vary by country, device and software version; some AI functions require a network connection or account access.
The S Pen does not have BLE, according to Samsung, so do not buy it expecting Bluetooth remote-control functions. Samsung’s launch materials also list selected creative apps and Circle to Search, but those features should be treated as software capabilities rather than evidence of a particular creative or study workflow.

What the IP68 rating does—and does not—cover
Samsung specifies IP68 protection for the tablet and the in-box S Pen, with testing for immersion in up to 1.5m of freshwater for up to 30 minutes. This is a laboratory rating, not a recommendation to use the device freely around water. Samsung does not advise beach or pool use and warns that resistance can diminish with normal wear. Avoid treating the rating as protection from saltwater, pool chemicals or every accidental spill.
Which Tab S10 FE size is right?
Samsung’s published figures distinguish the standard FE from the larger FE+ primarily by screen area and battery capacity. The stated playback figures are manufacturer estimates rather than results from a comparable independent test.

The FE+ is the more natural fit if a larger canvas matters for split-screen work, reading or video. Compare actual weight and local prices before choosing: the published battery and screen figures alone do not show which model is better value for a particular buyer.
Where it sits against premium Galaxy Tab models
Samsung’s U.S. series comparison positions FE models with LCD panels and refresh rates up to 90Hz, while premium Galaxy Tab S10 models use Dynamic AMOLED 2X panels with refresh rates up to 120Hz. That is a meaningful difference for buyers who prioritize display technology and smoother motion. Samsung’s same comparison table is the source of the FE resolution conflict noted above, so verify the precise specification for the model you intend to purchase.

Choosing storage and Wi-Fi or 5G
128GB or 256GB
Choose based on the price difference and how much content you keep downloaded: large apps, offline video and work files can make extra built-in storage useful. MicroSD expansion may help, but Samsung’s official pages disagree on the supported maximum for the FE. Confirm the limit for your regional model before selecting a card or relying on a particular capacity.
Wi-Fi or 5G
The cellular model is worth considering if you regularly need a connection away from Wi-Fi. Samsung lists 5G Sub-6 models in its U.K. launch information, but availability and carrier support vary by market. Check local model compatibility and account for the cost of a cellular plan; if you usually have Wi-Fi or can use a phone hotspot, the Wi-Fi version may be sufficient.

Accessories and software costs to account for
- 45W charger: Samsung says its 45W adapter is sold separately. Check regional charging support and what cable, if any, is included with the charger you choose.
- Keyboard: The Book Cover Keyboard is separately sold. Samsung’s U.S. accessory list effective December 2025 names EF-DX720 (Keyboard Slim) and EF-DX725 (Keyboard) as FE-compatible models. Confirm compatibility for your tablet; the FE+ uses different keyboard models.
- MicroSD card: Potentially useful for offline media and large files, but verify the capacity limit for the exact regional SKU because Samsung’s published figures conflict.
Samsung launched the series with Android 15. Its exact U.S. model page states that security updates are valid until April 30, 2032; confirm the update policy for your regional model rather than assuming the U.S. date applies everywhere. Samsung notes that some AI functions need network or account access. For the keyboard’s Galaxy AI key, Samsung says: “To launch Gemini using the Galaxy AI Key, Google Assistant needs to be updated to Gemini.” Samsung also says network access is required for Bixby or Gemini.
