NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5070 Ti launched on February 20, 2025, with an announced U.S. starting price of $749. That is the card’s historical launch price—not a statement of its current retail price.
When did the RTX 5070 Ti launch?
NVIDIA confirmed the RTX 5070 Ti would be available starting February 20, 2025. Tom’s Hardware reported the launch began at 6 a.m. Pacific time through add-in-card partners and system integrators. NVIDIA’s launch-day article subsequently confirmed the card was out and directed buyers to its product finder for partner cards and systems.
The date and time are launch-era details; they do not establish current stock or availability.
What was the RTX 5070 Ti’s starting price?
NVIDIA announced a U.S. starting price of $749 in January 2025. This was the launch starting price, not a verified price for October 2026 or a guarantee that every partner model would sell for that amount. Current retailer prices and inventory are not established by the launch announcements.
#1 Best Overall
- Axial-Fan Tech Built to Endure - Triple 90mm axial fans feature refined blades for up to 15% more airflow, counter-rotation to cut turbulence, and durable dual-ball bearings. Stealth Mode stops fans at low temps for silent operation, boosting card longevity and performance.
- Masterfully Crafted Cooling - Advanced vapor chamber and ultra-dense heatsink rapidly pull heat from the GPU, while an open aluminum backplate boosts airflow and ventilation, resulting in lower temperatures for stronger performance and stability in demanding workloads.
- Epic-X ARGB Lighting 2.0 - Craft your command center with Epic-X ARGB lighting. Fully customizable LEDs illuminate your graphics card, turning your setup into a radiant centerpiece and making your gaming space a true reflection of your style.
- VelocityX Software - Gain full control over your PNY graphics card to maximize its performance and Epic-X ARGB lighting. Fine-tune core and memory clocks, dial in custom fan curves, and monitor real-time temperatures and speeds, all from one intuitive interface. Save up to five profiles for instant recall.
- NVIDIA Blackwell Architecture - The Ultimate Platform for Gamers and Creators. Do it all with 5th-Gen Tensor cores for Max AI performance, new streaming multiprocessors that are optimized for neural shaders, and 4th-Gen Ray Tracing cores built for Mega Geometry.
Where was the card available?
NVIDIA said RTX 5070 Ti cards would come from add-in-card partners, with complete systems offered by system integrators. Tom’s Hardware reported there would be no Founders Edition model for the 5070 Ti.
NVIDIA’s January 2025 announcement named these add-in-card providers for RTX 50 Series stock-clocked and factory-overclocked variants:
- ASUS
- Colorful
- Gainward
- GALAX
- GIGABYTE
- INNO3D
- KFA2
- MSI
- Palit
- PNY
- ZOTAC
It also listed system builders including Falcon Northwest, Infiniarc, MAINGEAR, Mifcom, ORIGIN PC, PC Specialist, and Scan Computers. NVIDIA’s launch-day article pointed readers to its product finder for available partner cards and systems; the launch information does not verify which models or listings are available now.

What specifications and performance claims did NVIDIA announce?
NVIDIA listed 16GB of GDDR7 memory and 896 GB/sec of memory bandwidth for the RTX 5070 Ti. It also reported 1,406 AI TOPS. These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent performance measurements.
NVIDIA claimed the RTX 5070 Ti could deliver twice the frame rates of the RTX 4070 Ti in certain games using Blackwell and DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation. The company named Alan Wake 2, Black Myth: Wukong, and Cyberpunk 2077, tested at 2560 × 1440 with full ray tracing and other settings maxed. That comparison is NVIDIA’s claim for those games and conditions; it should not be read as a universal result or as a separately verified benchmark.
NVIDIA also described a 2X ray-triangle intersection rate for Blackwell RT Cores versus the previous generation. That is a stated generational feature, not a standalone RTX 5070 Ti benchmark.

What did launch-period reviews say?
NVIDIA’s February 20, 2025, launch article reproduced excerpts from third-party reviews. They provide attributed review commentary, not a substitute for a current price check or a single standardized benchmark:
- NVIDIA quoted The Verge saying the RTX 5070 Ti was nearly 84% faster than the RTX 3070 Ti at 4K without DLSS or ray tracing, and could be a noticeable upgrade for RTX 30-series owners or users of older cards. This is a review excerpt reproduced by NVIDIA.
- NVIDIA quoted PCWorld calling it an enthusiast-grade card the publication would buy at that time.
- NVIDIA quoted Tom’s Hardware describing its high-end performance as a continuation of the RTX 4070 Ti Super’s position.
NVIDIA’s article attributes these excerpts to publications, not to named individual reviewers.

What to know before shopping now
The $749 figure answers what NVIDIA announced as the U.S. launch starting price in 2025. It does not tell you the current price, stock status, or value of a specific partner card. Check a live listing and the card maker’s details before buying; partner models can differ in dimensions, cooling, power requirements, and warranty.
