Open a WeChat conversation and look beside the message field for the emoji or smiley control. Tap it, choose an emoji or sticker, and send it. The exact controls may vary by device, app version, or region, so treat this as a general guide rather than a guaranteed button-by-button path.
Send an emoji or sticker from a WeChat chat
- Open the conversation. Choose the person or group you want to message.
- Open the emoji or sticker controls. Look beside the message field for a smiley-face or similar control, then tap it. A secondary tutorial describes this location, but WeChat’s current official listings do not document a universal control path. WeChat’s iOS listing and Android listing confirm messaging and sticker-gallery features.
- Choose an item. Select an emoji or a sticker shown in the panel.
- Send it. If selecting the item does not send it immediately, use the chat’s send control.
The emoji and sticker options are both available in WeChat messaging, but the official listings do not explain the picker’s current behavior or whether a particular emoji is delivered as text or an image.
Add a sticker pack
A secondary guide describes adding packs through Sticker Gallery and then choosing a sticker from the chat panel. If your version presents a Sticker Gallery, open it and follow the available add-pack controls; afterward, return to the chat and look for the pack in the sticker panel. The precise labels and sequence have not been established as current or consistent across iOS, Android, and desktop, so follow the controls shown in your app.

If you cannot find the emoji or sticker controls
- Check the area around the message field in the open conversation; the control may be represented by a smiley or another icon.
- Check which WeChat version and device you are using. The available official sources do not establish that the controls or sticker-pack availability are identical across platforms, regions, or versions.
