Passive speakers need a wireless amplifier with speaker outputs—or a wireless receiver feeding an amplifier you already own. Powered speakers can usually take audio from a compatible wireless receiver’s line-level output. In every setup, the speakers still need a physical connection to an amplifier and power.
First, identify your speakers
Look for a power cord, built-in controls, an amplifier label, or audio input sockets on the speakers. Powered speakers have an amplifier built in and accept an audio signal through an input such as RCA or 3.5 mm. Passive speakers have speaker terminals but no built-in amplifier; they must connect to an external amplifier. Check the speaker’s manual or model specifications if it is not clear.
This distinction matters: a wireless receiver that outputs a line-level signal is not a power amplifier. It can feed powered speakers or an amplifier’s input, but it cannot drive passive speakers directly.
Choose a conversion route
Passive speakers without an amplifier: use a wireless stereo amplifier
Choose a Bluetooth- or Wi-Fi-enabled stereo amplifier with speaker outputs. Connect each speaker to the matching left or right terminals, then stream to the amplifier. Fosi’s T10 product instructions document Wi-Fi and Bluetooth inputs, passive-speaker outputs, and a listed supported impedance range of 2–8 ohms (Fosi T10 product instructions). iEAST lists its AMP-i50Bv2 for passive 4- or 8-ohm speakers (iEAST product support and manuals). These are examples, not universal specifications: match your own speakers to the amplifier’s manual.

If you have any problems, please contact us at any time by Amazon Order, and we will speed up the process to resolve the issue.
Do not rely on the Fosi page’s displayed “100W + 100W @3G” as a verified power rating; the notation is unclear in the cited instructions. The page does list the 2–8 ohm impedance range.
Powered speakers: use a compatible wireless receiver
Connect a wireless receiver’s line-level output to an input on the powered speakers. The connector must match: for example, the SoundPath manual describes using the receiver’s 3.5 mm output with a dual-RCA adapter cable to connect to powered speakers’ left/right RCA inputs (SoundPath Wireless Audio Adapter user guide). Confirm the receiver’s output, speaker input, included components, and power requirements before buying.

Please make sure to use the audio cable to connect the Bluetooth receiver with your stereo, not with the Echo.
Existing amplifier: add a wireless receiver or streamer
If your amplifier already drives passive speakers, keep it and feed its suitable line input from a wireless receiver or streamer. The SoundPath manual illustrates a transmitter connected to a stereo preamp’s left/right line-level pre-outs and a receiver connected to an amplifier’s RCA inputs. That documents one signal path; it does not establish that every kit works with every amplifier. Check that the devices have compatible inputs and outputs.
A combined wireless amplifier can also accept audio sources and drive passive speakers. Denon’s HEOS Amp HS2 manual page documents speaker terminals, analog RCA line inputs, optical input, Bluetooth pairing, and network setup. The page is for a legacy model dated 2016, so verify availability and current service compatibility rather than assuming it is still sold or supported (Denon HEOS Amp HS2 manual).

Bluetooth or Wi-Fi?
Wireless features vary by model. Compare how the source connects, whether playback depends on a phone staying connected, which services or protocols are supported, whether you want multiroom playback, and whether your home network reaches the speakers’ location. Check the exact product’s app and service compatibility before buying.
For specific examples, Fosi lists both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on the T10 page. The iEAST AMP-i50Bv2 manual describes Wi-Fi playback, Spotify Connect, Bluetooth, and multiroom use with other iEAST products; it says playback can continue if the phone is switched off. Its listed Wi-Fi band is 2.4 GHz. These are manufacturer claims about named products, not guarantees about every Wi-Fi or Bluetooth device.

- Bluetooth Audio Adapter: Makes your speakers Bluetooth for streaming music from your smartphone or tablet
- Multipoint Bluetooth connectivity: Simultaneously pair your smartphone and tablet and stream music from either one
- Easy pairing and automatic re-pairing: Pair your device to the adapter once with a single button press and you're done
- Long-range wireless: Stream music from up to 20 meters (66 feet) away from your speakers
- Works with most speakers: Plugs into any powered PC speakers, home stereo systems and A/V receivers using RCA or 3.5 mm jacks
Wi-Fi does not eliminate the speaker wire: passive speakers remain wired to the amplifier, and powered speakers remain connected to their own built-in amplification. The amplifier or receiver and the speakers also need power.

Read the impedance rating on the speaker label or in its specifications and compare it with the amplifier’s supported load. Do not assume an amplifier’s rating applies to another model, and be especially careful when connecting more than one pair of speakers.

- iEAST lists the AMP-i50Bv2 for 4- and 8-ohm passive speakers, with manufacturer-listed output above 60 W per channel at 1% THD+N into 4 ohms and above 30 W per channel at 1% THD+N into 8 ohms. These are listed product specifications, not independent test results (iEAST product support and manuals).
- Rockville’s BLUAMP 90 setup guide, dated August 11, 2026, says the total load must not fall below 4 ohms (Rockville BLUAMP 90 setup guide).
- Onkyo’s guidance is model-specific: it states 4–16 ohms for either the A or B speaker set and 8–16 ohms when using A+B (Onkyo TX-NR696 advanced manual).
These figures are not interchangeable. Use the manual for the exact amplifier you plan to use, including its instructions for multiple speaker pairs.
Connect and set up the system
- Confirm the signal path. Passive speakers need amplifier speaker outputs. Powered speakers need a compatible line-level receiver output. An existing amplifier needs a suitable line input for the wireless receiver.
- Check connectors and power. Match the receiver or streamer’s outputs to the destination’s inputs, and confirm which transmitter, receiver, cables, and power supplies are included.
- Power down before wiring. Follow the device manual’s connection instructions. Fosi’s T10 instructions, for example, say to turn the unit off before connecting its power supply and to turn the sound down before playback (Fosi T10 product instructions).
- Connect speaker wire with correct polarity. Join positive to positive and negative to negative. Keep exposed strands from touching each other, bridging terminals, or contacting metal. Onkyo and Fosi warn about wiring and short-circuit risks (Onkyo TX-NR696 advanced manual; Fosi T10 product instructions).
- Power on and test quietly. Select the correct input, pair over Bluetooth or configure the network/app as the manual specifies, then start playback at low volume and raise it gradually.
If there is no sound, check the selected input, mute status, volume, source connection, and speaker wiring. Onkyo lists input selection, mute, volume, and wiring among the checks for its amplifier models (Onkyo TX-NR696 advanced manual).
Wireless range and placement
Range and interference advice depends on the device. For the cited SoundPath kit only, its manual recommends line of sight, says to keep the receiver within 65 feet for best results, and advises avoiding nearby potential sources of 2.4 GHz interference (SoundPath Wireless Audio Adapter user guide). Do not treat that distance as a general range for Bluetooth or Wi-Fi audio products.
