Other eligible Galaxy phones, tablets, and supported watches were scheduled to follow, but Samsung did not publish one worldwide release date for every model. Your timing depends on your exact device, country, and network operator.
When will my Samsung Galaxy get One UI 8?
The first rollout began in the week of September 15, 2025, when Samsung announced the stable release for the Galaxy S25 series. Samsung’s update history records One UI 8.0 based on Android 16 for the Galaxy S25 (SM-S931B) on September 18, 2025; that entry applies to that model and is not a release date for every S25 variant or market. Samsung’s global announcement and the model-specific update history provide those details.
Samsung described a phased rollout rather than a single global launch day. In the United States, Samsung said updates would expand to more Galaxy devices throughout October 2025. Samsung India’s schedule lists device-by-device target months and was last updated May 5, 2026. Those dates are market-specific schedules, not proof that every device in that market received the update on the same day.
Examples from Samsung India’s schedule
- September 2025: Galaxy Z Flip6, Z Fold6, S25 series, S25 Edge, S24 series, and S24 FE.
- October 2025: Galaxy Z Flip5, Z Fold5, Z Flip4, Z Fold4, S23 series, S23 FE, S22 series, S21 FE 5G, and selected A-series models, including A56 5G, A36 5G, A55 5G, A54 5G, A73 5G, and A35 5G.
These are examples from Samsung India’s list, not a complete worldwide schedule. Check Samsung India’s One UI software update schedule for its full list, and use the schedule for your own market where available.

How to check for the update on your device
- Find your exact Galaxy model in Settings → About phone or About tablet. A family name alone may not identify the regional or carrier variant.
- Check Samsung’s One UI update schedule for your country or region. Do not use a schedule for another country as a promise of your release date.
- On the device, open Settings → Software update → Download and install. If an update is available for your device, follow the prompts shown there.
Why haven’t I received One UI 8 yet?
Being named as eligible does not mean every device receives the update on the same day. Samsung says schedules and supported functions may vary by model, country, or network operator; it may also revise eligibility or timing after review and temporarily pause an update to address emergency fixes. Samsung India states that the schedule may change depending on model and country or network operator. Its schedule page is specific to India.
If your device is listed but the update is not offered in Settings, check again later and consult Samsung support for your market and exact model. A date shown for a different region, carrier, or model variant cannot establish when your device will receive it.

What does One UI 8 add?
Samsung describes One UI 8 as an Android 16-based update with changes to AI features, personalization, security, and productivity. Its announcement highlights updates to Now Bar and Now Brief, Gemini Live, Circle to Search translation, large-screen multitasking, Audio Eraser, Portrait Studio, Call Captions, and Interpreter keyboard input. Samsung cautions that feature support and availability vary by market, model, language, and network, so not every eligible device will have every feature.
The Galaxy S25 (SM-S931B) update history gives a device-specific example of One UI 8.0 changes, including Call Captions, Audio Eraser, Now Brief, Lock Screen clock personalization, Quick Share, Samsung Internet, DeX, and split-screen updates. Those notes describe that model’s update and should not be treated as a complete feature list for every Galaxy device. See the S25 update history.
