No. CES 2026 has passed, and Nvidia did not announce RTX 50 Super GPUs. Before its keynote, Nvidia said no new GPUs would be announced, according to Tom’s Hardware’s January 5, 2026 report. Nvidia’s official CES 2026 announcement index includes GeForce news such as DLSS 4.5, but no Super-series launch.
What CES 2026 did—and did not—confirm
The event answered the immediate question: there was no RTX 50 Super announcement at CES 2026. Tom’s Hardware reported Nvidia’s pre-keynote statement, “Quick note: No new GPUs will be announced,” attributing it to Nvidia’s GeForce On community update. Nvidia’s CES newsroom index likewise lists no RTX 50 Super launch.
That establishes what happened at CES, not what Nvidia may do later. The official sources cited here do not confirm a Super model, release date, specifications, or price. Claims about a future lineup remain unconfirmed unless Nvidia announces one.
How the RTX 50 Series fits in
The RTX 50 Series itself is real, but it debuted a year earlier. Nvidia announced desktop and laptop RTX 50 GPUs on January 6, 2025. Its launch release named the desktop RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5070, and described the series as based on its Blackwell architecture. The launch announcement’s performance figures are Nvidia claims, not independent test results.

Nvidia’s launch release gave these starting prices and availability dates in 2025. They are historical launch MSRPs, not current retail prices:
| Desktop model | Nvidia’s announced starting price | Announced availability |
|---|---|---|
| RTX 5090 | $1,999 | January 30, 2025 |
| RTX 5080 | $999 | January 30, 2025 |
| RTX 5070 Ti | $749 | February 2025 |
| RTX 5070 | $549 | February 2025 |
These figures come from Nvidia’s January 6, 2025 launch announcement. They should not be used as a substitute for checking today’s price and availability.

Should you wait for an RTX 50 Super or compare cards now?
If you need a graphics card, compare products Nvidia actually lists rather than treating a rumored refresh as a purchase option. Nvidia’s RTX 50 Series product page currently lists the RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5070, RTX 5060 Ti, RTX 5060, and RTX 5050.
For a practical comparison, check the exact card model and live price, then compare performance at your target resolution and settings, memory capacity, power and cooling requirements, and availability. Nvidia’s product-page comparisons are Nvidia’s own examples; treat them as manufacturer comparisons, not independent benchmarks. The sources cited here do not establish current street prices or retailer stock.

If your purchase can wait, waiting for an official announcement may provide more information—but CES 2026 itself did not confirm a Super refresh or any later release plan. Nvidia’s 2025 launch release named add-in-card providers including ASUS, Colorful, Gainward, GALAX, GIGABYTE, INNO3D, KFA2, MSI, Palit, PNY, and ZOTAC; that list does not establish that any specific Super model exists.
