Eligibility does not guarantee a release date or mean the update has reached every carrier or model variant.
Motorola Android 16 phones in the United States
Motorola’s US Android 16 Phones page names these six models:
- moto g – 2025
- moto g power – 2025
- motorola edge 50 fusion
- motorola edge 50 pro
- motorola edge 60 fusion
- motorola edge 60 pro
This is Motorola’s published US list, not a global eligibility list. It does not establish when a listed phone will receive Android 16 or confirm that every carrier version has received it.
Motorola Android 16 phones in the Middle East
Motorola’s Middle East software upgrade guide names a broader set of devices. It includes the razr fold, razr 70 plus, razr 70, razr 60 ultra, razr 60, razr 50 ultra, razr 50, razr 40 ultra, and razr 40; Edge 70 family models, Edge 60 family models, Edge 50 family models, Edge 40 models, and Edge 30 ultra; ThinkPhone 25 and ThinkPhone; and moto g and moto e models including g87, g86 power 5G, g85 5G, g84 5G, g77, g75 5G, g67, g57, g56 5G, g54 5G, g47, g37, g35 5G, g34 5G, g24 power, g24, g17, g15, g14, g06 power, g06, e15, and e14.

Because the regional guide is not a universal promise, check Motorola’s support page for your country and the exact name of your phone. A family-level entry may not resolve whether a particular carrier or model variant is covered.
Why eligibility does not tell you when the update will arrive
Motorola says Android 16 has been released to AOSP and that it is working with technology and carrier partners to bring the update to customers. The company also says its upgrade information describes current plans and may change; it is not a commitment to deliver an update or to deliver it on a particular date. Motorola says software may need testing across models, regions, and distribution channels. Carrier and partner certification, independent testing, and requested changes can affect timing. As a result, owners of the same phone in the same region may not receive the update simultaneously.

- Check your Android version: Open Settings > About phone > Device details > Android version. This path appears in Motorola’s moto g play – 2026 user guide; labels can differ by model or software version.
- Check for an update: Open Settings > System updates > Check for updates, then follow the onscreen instructions if an upgrade is available.
If no Android 16 update appears, that only tells you an update is not available to install through that check at that moment. Verify your exact model and market against Motorola’s local support information; a listed phone can still be waiting for its region, carrier, or distribution channel.

What to verify before relying on a compatibility list
- Country or region: Motorola’s US and Middle East pages do not publish identical lists.
- Exact model and variant: Check the full phone name, including family and generation, rather than assuming a similarly named model is covered.
- Carrier or distribution channel: Certification and rollout timing can differ, including for owners in the same region.
- Current status: Use the phone’s update check and the relevant local Motorola support page; inclusion alone is not confirmation of delivery.
