CES 2025 ran January 7–10 in Las Vegas, while media events and previews began January 5. TechCrunch’s live-update archive covers January 5–10 and contains 142 stories. Its closing-stage reports tracked announcements across AI, smart homes, robotics and transportation; the event organizer’s final recap also highlighted digital health, energy, mobility, quantum technology, sustainability and startups.

Here are the major reveals and the scale of the event, with a distinction worth keeping in view: an announcement or show-floor demonstration is not the same as an independently tested product or confirmed retail availability.

When CES 2025 took place

The official CES show dates were January 7–10, 2025, in Las Vegas. Media activity began January 5, and TechCrunch’s live coverage archive spans January 5–10. CES’s opening announcement outlined the show dates and preview activity: CES opening announcement. TechCrunch described its archive as a running account of announcements and product reveals: TechCrunch CES 2025 live updates.

What stood out in the closing recap

NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 50 announcement

At the Monday keynote, NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang unveiled the GeForce RTX 50 graphics-card family. CES’s recap also said NVIDIA announced a partnership with Toyota to develop next-generation autonomous vehicles using NVIDIA DriveOS. These are event announcements; the recap does not establish independent performance testing, exact retail model SKUs, pricing or current availability. CES closing-day recap

How large was CES 2025?

In its January 10 closing-day release, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), CES’s organizer, reported the following pre-audit figures:

Measure CES/CTA 2025 pre-audit figure
Attendees 141,000+
Exhibitors 4,500+, including 1,400 startups
International attendance 40% of attendees, from more than 150 countries, regions and territories
Global media, content creators and industry analysts 6,000+
Conference program 300+ sessions with 1,200+ speakers
News stories and content 27,000+

CTA identified these as pre-audit numbers, not independently audited totals. Its release said third-party confirmation was expected in spring; the closing-day release is the basis for the figures above. CES/CTA closing-day release, January 10, 2025

What the event’s closing message emphasized

CES’s final release presented the event as a broad technology showcase spanning AI, digital health, energy transition, mobility, quantum technology, sustainability and startups. CTA CEO and Vice Chair Gary Shapiro said, “CES is where innovation comes to life.” CTA President Kinsey Fabrizio described the show as a celebration of innovations and ideas intended to improve lives and reshape industries. Both statements are from the organizer’s release, which also recaps the event’s themes and announcements. CES/CTA closing-day release

What these reveals do—and do not—tell you

The closing recap is useful for identifying what companies announced at CES, but it does not establish which products have shipped, what they cost now, or how they perform against alternatives. In particular, the GeForce RTX 50 family reveal is not enough to support a tested graphics-card ranking or a claim about current stock. Check a specific model’s official product information and retailer listing before making a purchase decision.
