No. TrollStore does not support iOS 18, and its persistence helper cannot make it work on that version. The project’s documented compatibility ends at iOS 17.0; Apple patched the underlying CoreTrust bug in iOS 17.0.1. If you want apps outside the App Store on iOS 18, your official options depend on where you are and how the app is distributed.
Does TrollStore work on iOS 18?
No. TrollStore’s official project README lists support for iOS 14.0 beta 2 through 16.6.1, iOS 16.7 RC (20H18), and iOS 17.0. It marks iOS 17.0.1 and later as unsupported, which includes every iOS 18 release.

The project explains the cutoff this way: “The underlying CoreTrust bug that TrollStore relies on was patched by Apple in iOS 17.0.1.” TrollStore uses an AMFI/CoreTrust code-signature verification bug; the supported range depends on that operating-system behavior, not just on the iPhone model. Building TrollStore with a newer SDK does not extend compatibility.
Why won’t the persistence helper make it work?
TrollStore describes itself as a permasigned jailed app installer for IPA files. Its persistence helper helps keep TrollStore and installed apps launchable if the icon cache reloads and they revert to a user-app state. It does not restore the patched CoreTrust bug or change which iOS versions are supported.

What are the official ways to install apps outside the App Store on iOS 18?
Apple-recognized alternative distribution is available only in specified regions and under different conditions. These options are not equivalent to using TrollStore to install arbitrary IPA files.

What if you want to install an arbitrary IPA?
Apple’s official regional alternatives do not establish a universal method for installing arbitrary IPA files with third-party signing tools. The official guidance here supports alternative marketplaces and, for eligible EU developers, website distribution of notarized apps; it does not establish current steps, limits, or signing durations for third-party tools. Do not treat those tools as a way to install TrollStore on iOS 18.

How to choose a legitimate route
- Check your location and eligibility. Apple’s alternatives vary among the EU, Brazil, and Japan; your Apple Account region and physical presence may affect access. Start with Apple’s regional guidance.
- Identify the app’s distribution source. If it is available through an eligible alternative marketplace, use that marketplace. A developer’s website is an option only when the developer qualifies for EU Web Distribution and the app is distributed under Apple’s requirements.
- If neither applies, check the App Store. Outside the regions with Apple-recognized alternative distribution, Apple identifies the App Store as the download route.
Apple describes notarization as a baseline integrity review, not the same thing as App Store review, and marketplace operators can apply their own policies. Consider the app’s source and the support available before installing it.
