To schedule a Reel for a Facebook Page, use Meta Business Suite: create the Reel, choose its destination and audience, then select Schedule and set a date and time. Confirm it appears in Scheduled content. The documented workflow is for Pages; it does not establish an equivalent scheduler for ordinary personal profiles.
What you need before scheduling
Meta Business Suite is the documented native route for scheduling a Facebook Page Reel. You need access to the Page you want to publish from. A current third-party guide also says the scheduler requires Page permissions; its interface details may change. PostDaily’s Facebook Reels scheduling guide, updated September 27, 2026, describes the Page-based workflow. The Louisiana Department of Education’s social-media toolkit illustrates selecting a destination in Meta Business Suite, though its December 2023 instructions may not match every current label.
This guidance is for a Facebook Page. The available instructions do not confirm that an ordinary personal profile can schedule Reels through the same workflow.
Schedule a Facebook Page Reel in Meta Business Suite
- Open Meta Business Suite and select your Facebook Page. Make sure you are working with the Page that should publish the Reel.
- Open Posts & stories or Planner, then choose Create reel. The entry point and labels can vary between desktop and mobile versions.
- Choose the destination. Select Facebook, or select Facebook and Instagram together if that option is available and you want to publish to both.
- Add and review the Reel. Upload the video and enter a caption. Add a thumbnail if the composer offers that option, and review the crop or trim controls available to you.
- Check the audience before scheduling. Facebook provides a default audience setting for future Reels and lets you change the audience for an individual Reel during creation. Available choices depend on profile settings. Review Facebook’s Help Center instructions for setting a default Reel audience and its computer-upload guidance if you need help locating audience choices.
- Choose Schedule, set the publication date and time, and confirm. Choose Share reel to publish immediately or Save as draft if you want to return to the Reel later instead.
Find and manage the scheduled Reel
After confirming, check the Scheduled content area to verify that the Reel is queued for the intended time. PostDaily reports this route in Meta Business Suite: Content → Posts and reels → Scheduled, where it says you can reschedule a post or move it to drafts. Treat that exact path as a reported route rather than a permanent interface guarantee; menu names and placement can change.

How far ahead can you schedule a Facebook Reel?
The available Facebook scheduling instructions do not establish a current maximum lead time. Do not assume an Instagram scheduling limit applies: the Louisiana toolkit’s reference to scheduling Instagram Reels up to 75 days ahead concerns an Instagram mobile workflow, not Facebook.
Do older Facebook Reel length rules still apply?
Facebook’s older Help Center upload guidance described Reels as up to 90 seconds, but Meta announced a product transition in June 2025: Facebook renamed the Videos tab to Reels and said all Facebook videos would be shared as Reels in the coming months. Meta’s notice says that after the change, Reels could be any length or orientation. Because this transition makes older advice time-sensitive, avoid treating 90 seconds or a particular orientation as a universal current requirement. See Facebook’s computer-upload help and its Reels and video transition information.

When to use a third-party scheduler
For a Facebook Page alone, Meta Business Suite is the native workflow described here; an external service is not required. A third-party scheduler may suit someone coordinating several platforms or content queues, but it adds another service and may have its own permissions and feature limits. Check that service’s current Facebook support and account requirements before relying on it.
