World Wide Technology (WWT) received three honors in NVIDIA’s 2026 Americas Partner Awards and says it is building expertise in robotics, digital twins and computer vision as it expands toward physical AI. The award details and plans were reported by WWT on April 2, 2026, citing original reporting by CRN.
Which NVIDIA awards did WWT receive?
WWT, headquartered in the St. Louis area, received three awards in NVIDIA’s 2026 Americas Partner Awards, announced around NVIDIA’s GTC event in March 2026. The categories, as reported by WWT and CRN, were:
- AI Excellence Partner of the Year
- AI Enterprise Software Partner of the Year
- Federal Partner of the Year
WWT said this was its eighth consecutive year receiving an NVIDIA partner distinction. That is the company’s reported recognition history, not a separate measure of its products or customer outcomes.
What does WWT mean by expanding into physical AI?
Physical AI applies AI to systems that interact with the real world. The reports attribute to NVIDIA a definition involving the ability to “perceive, understand, reason and perform or orchestrate complex actions in the physical world.” Examples mentioned include cameras, robots and self-driving cars.

- Jetson runs the NVIDIA AI software stack, and use-case specific application frameworks are available, including Isaac for robotics, DeepStream for vision AI, and Riva for conversational AI. You can save significant time with NVIDIA Omniverse Replicator for synthetic data generation (SDG), and by using NVIDIA TAO toolkit to fine-tune pretrained AI models from the NGC catalog.
- Jetson ecosystem partners offer additional AI and system software, developer tools, and custom software development. They can also help with cameras and other sensors, as well as carrier boards and design services for your product.
- With the computing capability of more than 8 Jetson AGX Xavier systems in a developer kit that integrates the latest NVIDIA GPU technology with the world’s most advanced deep learning software stack, you’ll have the flexibility to create tomorrow’s AI solution as well as today’s.
WWT area vice president of AI Mike Trojecki described the company’s effort as building capabilities that work together rather than treating robotics as a standalone specialty:
“If you’re going to deploy a robot, you got to build a digital twin. You got to have the computer vision aspect of it. So it’s not just the robotics piece, and that’s why we decided to build out the skill sets around those three areas,”
In this context, a digital twin is a simulated environment that can be used to train autonomous systems. Computer vision helps systems interpret visual information; robotics brings the physical machine and its actions into the picture.
What work has WWT reported so far?
Trojecki told CRN that WWT had hired specialists in robotics, digital twins and computer vision and completed a couple of proofs of concept, including work involving bipedal robots. He characterized the activity as early exploration; the report does not establish a production deployment or publish performance results.

- AGX Orin 64GB Development Kit makes it easy to get started with AGX Orin. Its compact size, rich interfaces, and AI performance of up to 275 TOPS make it ideal for building advanced AI robots and other autonomous machine prototypes.
- The development kit includes AGX Orin 64GB module and can emulate all Orin modules. It utilizes the Ampere GPU architecture, next-generation deep learning and vision accelerators, high-speed I/O, and fast memory bandwidth. You can leverage the largest and most complex AI models to develop solutions for problems such as natural language understanding, 3D perception, and multi-sensor fusion.
- Jetson runs AI software and provides application frameworks for specific use cases, such as Isaac for robotics, DeepStream for visual AI, and Riva for conversational AI. Using Omniverse Replicator for Synthetic Data Generation (SDG) can save you significant time; while fine-tuning pre-trained AI models from the NGC catalog using the TAO toolkit can further enhance your results.
- Yahboom offers four kits for users to choose from. The AIlarge model voice module utilizes examples of AI large models and multimodal models; it provides 1TB/2TB SSDs with pre-flashed driver image files; and an 8MP USB industrial camera for image processing.
- It offers various online and offline mainstream AI large model development materials. The system is pre-configured with AI vision examples, ROS case studies, and AI large models. It supports offline/online deployment of large models for voice interaction, real-time video analysis, and visual positioning, helping you quickly get started with localized AI agent development.
Trojecki also said WWT had partnered with four or five robotics distributors, but did not name them in the report. The count is his estimate, not a publicly identified partner list.
“We’ve hired robotics experts, digital twin experts, computer vision [experts]. We have a couple of proofs of concept that we’ve already done: some really interesting things with [bipedal robots], and we’ve hired some great people from different areas of the industry that I think that is going to take off,”
Why does WWT see an infrastructure services opportunity?
Trojecki framed NVIDIA-related infrastructure as a services opportunity for WWT. The work he described spans planning, design, deployment, testing and validation, with power and cooling among the practical considerations for AI infrastructure. He also pointed to software from NVIDIA and ecosystem partners.
These are executive comments about where WWT sees business potential. The reports do not quantify a forecast, describe a specific WWT system architecture or verify results from customer deployments.

How does NVIDIA characterize WWT’s broader AI work?
NVIDIA Americas Channel Chief Craig Weinstein described WWT’s focus on agentic AI as well as other enterprise priorities:
“They’re focused on some really important areas [like] agentic AI. We believe it’s going to be the most important opportunity in the enterprise. Their capability there is a standout,”
That is Weinstein’s assessment of WWT’s capabilities and the opportunity, not an independently measured comparison with other partners.
What the award announcement does—and does not—show
- It reports recognition: three named awards in NVIDIA’s 2026 Americas program and WWT’s claim of eight consecutive years of partner distinction.
- It signals an intended direction: WWT says it is developing robotics, digital-twin and computer-vision skills and exploring physical-AI work.
- It does not establish commercial scale: no named distributor, specific robot or product, production deployment, market-size figure or measured productivity result is provided in the reports.
WWT’s plans and award recognition therefore offer a snapshot of its enterprise AI strategy, not a product recommendation or proof that its physical-AI efforts have reached broad deployment.
