No. Games in Google Messages are not confirmed as available on every Android phone. Google’s public product and support pages do not document built-in games, while a recent report describes game-related references in a beta build. That is evidence of a possible feature in development—not confirmation of a public release or universal access.
What Google currently confirms
Google’s Google Messages product page describes messaging and chat features, and its support page explains how to install and use the app. Neither currently documents built-in games as a generally released feature. This does not rule out a test or limited rollout; it means Google’s public materials do not establish general availability.
Android Authority reported references to possible games in a Google Messages beta build. That report points to a feature that may be in development, but it does not confirm a launch, public access, or which devices might qualify. Google has not documented a games release in the cited materials.
Does having Google Messages or RCS mean you can play?
No. Google says Android users can download Google Messages from Google Play, but app availability does not confirm that an undocumented feature is enabled for a given user. Updating the app is a reasonable way to keep it current, not a guarantee of access to games.

RCS is a separate matter. Google’s RCS FAQ says availability varies by region and carrier. That information concerns RCS messaging; it does not establish that RCS is required for games or that RCS support provides access to them.
What to check—and what not to assume
- Check that Google Messages is installed. Google’s getting-started page explains installation and basic use.
- Check Google Play for an app update. Keeping Messages updated may provide the latest version available to your device, but it does not guarantee a feature that Google has not announced or documented.
- Do not treat RCS status as a games eligibility check. RCS support depends on region and carrier; no cited source connects those requirements to the possible games feature.
There is no confirmed supported-device list, minimum Android version, eligible Messages version, regional availability, or requirement for the other participant to use Google Messages. The beta report does not settle those questions. No phone model or hardware requirement is established, so there is no basis for buying or upgrading a phone to get these games.

Why older answers may differ
A January 2019 Google Messages Community thread asked whether the app had games, and a Product Expert then answered that it did not. That exchange is historical context, not evidence of present-day availability. The current public documentation still does not confirm games as a generally released feature, and the beta-build report is not a launch announcement.
